I think student loans should be reformed. Someone wants to take out $100k in loans to major in gender studies at some random college? That's a VERY risky investment - both on the student's part and the lender's - and should have a higher interest rate. Someone wants to take out $50k in loans to major in computer science at MIT? Much less risky and the rate should be lower. But basically every loan is offered at the same rate.

And this evening I saw a video capture from the NYT or Washington Post that show both of his feet to the left of the vehicle when he fires the first shot (and as most have probably already seen, with the left tire clearly turned to the right).
And, of course, clearly show him as fully alongside the vehicle for two and three. On one of them, perhaps the third, his arms are extended straight out at head level towards the driver, and look to be damn close to INSIDE the window. Those shots simply are not self defense.

Well, there's no way to say for sure, but those actions would seem to have other motivators. All I'm saying is that the agent's past traumatic experience with an individual he was engaging that was in a vehicle (with the engine on) likely produced the "trigger happy" impulse we see in the video when the vehicle started to move.

You need two points (at least) to determine a trajectory. You can't draw the conclusions you appear to be drawing (although you never come out and actually say what they are) about an object's trajectory from a single point. In other words, Igloo, the shooter could have been up in a tree at the driver's 10 o'clock and still put a bullet hole in the windshield. Trajectory. Know what I mean?
But anyway, it doesn't seem like you need to worry about bullet trajectory too much here. We've all seen at least one of the videos (the all-important bodycam videos apparently will not be released by ICE). In that one video, we can all get a relatively decent view of the changing orientation of the vehicle and the agent over a period of several seconds, and the speed at which the orientation changed, before, during and after the shooting was taking place. And from there, you can analyze the shooter's perspective, his behavior, his options, and his judgment. To some degree.
