A requirement for law officers is not fleeing the scene of a shooting, and yielding the shooting weapon. The murderer fled with the murder weapon. No self-defense claim will undo fleeing, and likely destroying the weapon.

According to Trump, and I can't see him lying about something of this importance, the ICE agent who shot the alleged "victim" is in a local hospital recovering from being run over, and it's hard to believe he's still alive.
