We didn’t have the current primary system until 1972. There is no constitutional requirement for presidential nomination. The parties can use any method they want to choose a candidate.
The majority of US presidential candidates throughout history weren’t nominated through primary elections.
She’s not avoiding anything. She’s out campaigning, something Trump’s too feeble to do.
It appears to be working because her polling numbers are only improving.

Trumpers only want more media interviews because their candidate is a hot mess and can't be seen in public due to embarrassing rally sizes or displaying his demented insanity. He isn't doing anything for 10 days now.
The right wing desperately needs to find something to stick on Harris because their efforts have failed. And they can't do it with Harris filling stadiums with larger and larger crowds speaking rationally and not insane. They need to stop the positive energy and happiness and get this thing dirty and negative the way Trump likes it.

1. The tax relief on Tips is not Trumps idea. It has been around since 2012 since Rand Paul introduced it.
2. K. Harris simply voted for the inflation reduction act. Which was a very broad bill. And it included more funding for IRS. Yet his article and you try to spin this as being soley voted for to go after tips. So dishonest.

I for one love this strategy of hers as a Trump voter. Whatever advantage she has by hiding won't last forever, it's becoming weird at this point that she hasn't given a real interview or press release, it's not doing well for her image and it's going to show in the polls real soon.

There are some very smart people advising the Harris campaign.
The media needs Harris far more than she needs the media. Trump has used this knowledge to his advantage for 9 years. He picks and chooses when to speak. And he picks and chooses who gets to ask him questions. The media is entirely derelict in their duties covering Trump and allowing him to manipulate them. It is brilliant for her to not allow Trump to set the narratives and then sit in front of Microphones responding to the 10 latest right wing smears. She is setting her own narratives. And the media is having fits.

The executive branch is basically just the chief clerk of the government administering the policies set by the legeslative branch and monitored for legality by the juducial branch. Neither present major party candidate presently adheres to that idea and is too busy with pandering to a party line and their own egos. Not a good script for leadership especially with so many latent threats to democracy in the world today.
