You seriously don't think every tax return of Trump has not been gone over with a fine tooth comb?
I think the IRS does not have the resources to do an exhaustive examination of every return as complex as Tiny's.
Rich people get away with tax fraud all the time.
Trump like people create much larger size returns than is necessary. In Trump's case he is adding thousands and thousands of pages to his return to create as much obfuscation as possible. That way he can double claim expenses and losses. and dare the IRS to find them all. If they find a few, he pleads oops, pays a few more taxes and a small penalty, and knows that the IRS did not find every oops he made.
Many years ago, I read book that described the above. I do not recall the name of the text. The clever people will put in some simple easy to find small oops to make the IRS auditor feel that they have done their job. The major tax oops are hidden as much as possible--forms leading to forms which lead to other forms, lead then to still other forms, and then looping back to one of the prior forms. The tax cheating road map is very complex. Best of luck trying to decipher even a simple business return. Forget about figuring all the tax cheating out for a 12,000 page return with hundreds of business entities feeding the return beast.
