Does anyone else feel that a 41yo expat from Ireland running 2:24 is a bit off?

By the time Geremew crossed the finish line the course record was 2:02:38 so he never broke any record. Bummer.

Mohammed Farah has shown at age 36, he is not going to win Berlin Marathon, London Marathon or Olympic Marathon. Farah is testing his limits. Farah racing 2:05:xx Marathon is a huge achievement for a 3:28.xx 1500m man. If Farah were racing Marathons 15 years ago, I would agree with you. At his age, Farah most likely finds Marathon training easier than 5000m training. Less intense track workouts for Marathon training.

What's next for this guy?

Wish he would do a sub2 again! I am pretty sure if he ask Nike, they would do it. If Zersenay or Desisa ask, they probably say no.

His appearance fee I'm sure was great, but for that level performance, he got a meager $55,000 for the win, another $100K for under 2:05 (no further incentive for under 2:04), and 22K for the course record. As it stands, the two courses I'd like to see him run most (Boston and NYC) have the biggest payouts (save for Dubai, etc).

Ha ha - I was just waiting for that old chestnut to appear after the race!

Kipchoge is NEVER EVER going to run the b grade Boston course. Never.

What we saw here is what I had long suspected. Mo was always (on the track) vulnerable to an epo era guy going hard, at a pace that was brutally uncomfortable. The ABP shielded Mo from this on the track but not on the road circuit.

As if Mo is less of a cheat than Kipchoge and the rest. Please. He was shielded by a lot of people and things during his career. He was a perfect tool to vouch for more refugees. Wake up.
