Israel was the reason we were in Lebanon due to their barbarous invasion and occupation of So Lebanon. Iran has nothing to do with it. Reagan admin had the common sense to get out after that attack.
No, they aren't all targets. Iceland doesn't have much to worry about. There was only one 9/11. Whatever motivated that will have been increased by Trump's reckless exercise of American military power in other countries.

A little surprised that Axios got that wrong about Iran, above. At a minimum, we attacked them during Praying Mantis in the late 80s (88, I think).

"The attack was so successful it knocked out most of the candidates," Trump told me. "It's not going to be anybody that we were thinking of because they are all dead. Second or third place is dead."
So their plan was to handpick the next person in charge (i.e., democracy!), but they accidentally killed everyone they had in mind... which they consider a great success? Yes, this is mind-bogglingly stupid, but it gets even dumber because obviously none of this is true and Trump is just BSing, per usual. The real plan is to do war crimes and bomb the Iranian people back into the 19th century without a care in the world for who takes control of the rubble.
