(or give us a Ballarat start list- I cant be f’d scrolling through all their instagram posts trying to sort that mess out)
I actually can't find startlists anywhere, and I cbf scrolling through the 1000s of instagram posts for individual anouncements (no idea why they don't just do complete elite fields combined in 1 post.....)
2:11 Kiwi Caden Shields vs 2011 Aussie Tom Do Canto is the big story in the Marathon. Reece Edwards also racing. Ellie Pashley will win the women's marathon. Sarah Klein also running
Brett Robinson will win the men's half. Ryan Gregon, Nathan Stoate, Ben Beischer also racing Gen Gregson will win the women's half. Eloise Wellings, Charlotte Wilson also running
Sinead Diver is listed in the women's 10k. Tara Palm also racing.
I've done a manual rego search and Jack Rayner is in the 5km.
You’re talking nonsense. If the A sample was negative, how did anything come out of it? You don’t exactly see many news articles about athletes testing negative… As the previous poster said, the A and B sample are split into two parts each - this allows for multiple tests to be conducted at separate times on each sample (this is important for athlete safety as it means the same tester doesn’t necessarily test both samples, as well as scientific rigour). Is this where you are getting confused?
Here are two links - one contains a direct quote from the AA CEO confirming they were alerted about the positive A sample, and the second from Sports Integrity Australia confirming the B sample return an atypical finding which did not confirm the result of the A sample, and hence Pete was cleared. Make of them what you will but you are clearly chatting rubbish and I don’t believe for one second you worked at an anti-doping lab.
"I don’t believe for one second you worked at an anti-doping lab."
Fact, he didn't.
The A sample was initially 'incorrectly' analysed as positive . The B sample was indeterminate and the A sample was re-analysed. They would not have cleared him if the sample remained positive, would they? So quit focusing on the initial result, you are slurring the name of someone that has been cleared.
I never claimed to work 'at' an anti-doping lab. The company I worked for supply the equipment used for testing. Virtually 75% of the instruments were from them. Even your Covid PCR tests were done by equipment supplied by them. I had access clearance to work on those instruments and my team supported that facility in North Ryde (Sydney). When systems were down, or needed regular preventative maintenance we did it. Most of team, inc myself, come from a lab background (not a technician background) and understand the chemistry, the analyses, and the protocol. I know some of the analysts, and in particular the facility head for almost 30 years, from their previous older location at Pymble. You can work out who they are, its a govt agency. We were not blindfolded whilst there, geez.
looks like Pat is back being coached by Marcus O’Sullivan
I guess he hasn't been renewed by Puma or has been offered more $$ with a different brand because I can't see any other reason he'd leave the Craggs. I wonder if Angel is going to leave Puma Elite too.
Really enjoyed reading Angel's recap of Pat's race. Fantastic to get that level of transparency. 2.09 is an incredible result when you assess what his last few months have looked like and it's rare to get that level of insight from someone like Pat who has seemed to be a little introverted (definitely not a criticism). Great recap and Pat clearly had an excellent support network.

Fields have dropped for Launceston half and they're incredibly deep - Here's the IG link. So many fast guys from Japan making the trip down.
Putting Nedd Brockmann on the elite lists is a bit of an insult to the professional runners on there.

Anyone watching the Ryan Gregson hate pile-on unfold on instagram. He said that being chicked during a 10km pb run as an elite male should make someone question their life choices and wish that hey had of studied more at school. He said this on FTK Patreon. A pro-female sport instagram page reposted it. The comments….
Weeeeeew didn’t think it was that combo of hosts who’d be the ones to get FTK cancelled. Honestly the man should feel threatened by women, his wife has a lot more longevity in the sport than he does, AND she birthed two kids. Loser energy.
I feel like a lot of people think that just because something's behind a paywall, you can get loose with no consequences. I think Ryan has misjudged who FTK's listeners actually are - They're inner-city Melbourne hobby joggers who of course are going to jump on anything not politically correct. Also, as a sponsored athlete, you'd think he would understand that he represents Puma with his words.

Just from the clip alone (because screw giving FTK Patreon money) he was talking about Liam Boudin in the Urban Trail De Lille 10km. Came in 42nd in 28:33 while Ngetich ran first for the women in 28:58.
Liam is a qualified solicitor and also running great as a pro, so yeh don’t think it’s him needing to reassess all his life choices and wishing he’d studied harder when “getting chicked”, though might be time Grego does because his career is done.
This was awful, sneering audio. So was their non apology about "listening". Interestingly Tim and Liam's recap on their pod (Journeyman) made no mention of this rubbish. They were happy with their runs, because they're clearly not d&$kheads.
Agnes is an absolute gun, she'd wipe the floor with Gregson and there's no shame in that- she's world class and he's miles off.
Will be interesting to hear if FTK does anything meaningful here, like a proper apology. Riley is not coming off well here either by just agreeing. He probably oversees the edits and publishing?
It's a small thing but this always stuck in my mind re. Ryan. Way back when Archer was 12 weeks old Gen posted this on her IG "Happy Father’s Day Ryan. Although you haven’t changed a nappy yet, you’ve made these last 12 weeks the best time of my life. Thanks for being such a gentle, loving & supportive dad. If Archer could tell us his favourite parent, I’d be very nervous to hear his choice." Someone of course commented asking WTF?. Gen commented something to the effect of 'that's my job'.

Sounds like Ryan should question his education choices.
