More Jesuit than Beckman. Lots of boys from the area tend to transfer to Jesuit due to Walt Lange’s coaching and it’s also Jesuit, they’re very dominant in NorCal sports

No, not even. Redondo has always frequented the State Meet up until 2022 ish (maybe a little prior)

Any predictions on when Lange will retire?

I can see him sticking around at least through Class of 2027. This class is really deep

The difference is St. Francis High School is a very strong running program in CCS. Their coach will surely bring their runners to success.

In any case, 7:35 is nasty. The 4x800 being an official event has launched it back into the stratosphere in terms of relevance. Willing to bet 7:28 gets broken by a California team within the next few years.

The 4x800 being run so often now also puts into context how insane 7:28 run in the early 2010s was. Just insane. I think that team had two guys running 1:50 flat in the open.

Morgan Herbst is trying to become just the 4th girl in history to run sub 40 in the 300 hurdles tomorrow at Mt SAC. She wasn't ready to go sub 40 at Arcadia, she just wanted a PR which she got. But after a good week of training she is going to run aggressively and try to dip under 40.

Her sister Makenna has a re-match against New Zealander Boh Ritchie, who she beat at Arcadia. Ritchie just ran 2:03 at Bryan Clay, so Makenna will have her hands full.

Balkman is an absolute legend, along many dimensions

After only hitting 4:11 for the majority of the season, Dylan Jubak finally runs 4:09. Also, Andres Lomeli (Kimball) came out of nowhere with that 9:06. Will there be any hope for a solid 3200 performance for Kushen⁉️

Manwaring from Herriman was very far back in the middle of the 3200 race, and he ended up winning it. Soles sure knows how to coach, like he did at Great Oak!
