I didn't read this whole thread but the Belen (FL) kid, who just won the national indoor mile, Joseph Socarras is headed to Penn. Not a great XC kid, but track times are elite with PR's of 4:04/1:48. Glad he isn't going to UF, like the majority of Belen kids do.

I noticed the 15:01 Kenyan too
Mireles is a grad transfer though. 3:58 obviously a good time but not elite as he's not in HS

Diana's 15:01 was at sea level. It could have been worse for the non-Ducks.
They also casually didn't mention that she was 5th at World U20 XC. (#2 Kenyan)

She’s going to be another great at NC State before she’s done in Raleigh. A blue collar work ethic from a school only about 20 or so miles from where coach Henes (Gomez) grew up.

interesting - I checked to see if she had a 800 m time so I could add her to the list I keep but alas no. But in the last year she dropped 2.5 seconds in 200 and almost 6 seconds in 400.
