Are Kiptum and Hassan wearing the magic $500 shoes? What about Rupp, Mantz, etc?
They are wearing the Alphafly 3. I think Rupp was but Mantz might have had on the Alphafly 1

Hassan grimacing… is she still on WR pace? 4:57 last mile 😵💫
Still no cameras on the American men or women. Unbelievable.

What will be the excuse for why the Americans were able to run fast since Letsrun likes to bash American men marathoners. Are they going to say the course was short?
Which Americans are going to run fast?
This race is likely to be won in 2:00 or 2:01.
If Kiptum runs 2:00:50 and the Americans run 2:06:48, that's like an American woman running 2:17. I'm pretty sure Letsrun would bow down for a 2:17:58 American woman. And if we have multiple Americans sub 2:08 today, that's like having multiple sub 2:20 women.

WR looks locked, he's picking up the cadence
Sub-2 will be nearly impossible though, requires 2:43ish k's from here on out
Watching Kiptum run these late miles makes it certain he can go sub 2..with many less pacers than Kipchoge had.
He def has a unique ability to run faster in the late second half.
kelvin kiptum making one of the most insane breaks in the marathon and this stream decides to go to the stands to hear from spectators amazing
Keptum doing it without a wall of pacers; puts Kipchoge to shame.
Rupp slowing a bit, now on 2:07:17
Matnz dropped the others, wheres Rupp?
Rupp dropping back
Now this is the kind of world record coverage I like to see
Chelanga on 2:06 pace, holy sh!t

Ok, 13:51 split for last 5km. that has to be some type of record
He split a 13:49 in London.
I remember the jack@ss with the zebra jacket from last year !!! Horrible
And now for some obligatory overly happy interruptions while a world record attempt is going on.

Kiptum is officially out of control!!!
Unfortunately, so is Kenyan anti doping
Hate to see Rupp dropping back, just absolutely hate it, theee worst
40 yr old Des Linden moving well, 2:25:58 at 30k
Mantz & Chelanga easing ahead of Rupp at 35k
Kelvin MF Kiptum
Sifan MF Hassan
Young moving up nicely, now past Kiptoo and Mesfun
