Rough day for sure. But OAC not winning either 10k title with all the hype they get isn’t great either. Nuguse better get it done.
54.7 is a bit understating it. He ran 26.43 the last 200. He didn’t hit the gas until 300 to go.

Any idea what Woody’s last mile was? Something like 62, 60, 60, 54?!
66, 61, 60, 55

Did you expect Klecker to beat Woody or Monson to beat Cranny? I didn’t.

Can McGorty even find a race to hit the standard?
Even if he could, who is good enough to run with him (and would want to) to hit that standard? Pretty sure he couldn't do it all alone.
Fisher 2022 was more clean? How about Grijalva - goes from getting beaten by FR Nico Young to now 4th in the world?
For worlds though, since McGorty doesn't have the standard, will Fisher still go?

It’s about making teams. If Grant doesn’t make a team, that’s a disaster! Are we really worried about Nuguse at all after seeing today?

i think it was more like 65/60/60/54
Very impressive by woody, tho he actually had a faster last lap in 2021 trials in a faster race. Won't be able to rely on a slow pace like this at worlds I don't think tho

In his defense, he hasn't really had a great shot racing on the world stage post-his recent return to form. Last major race he fell and didn't make the finals if I remember it correctly. I'd be interested to see how he can do if he actually is racing against the field in a true scenario and in his current form, though if he manages to finish middle of the pack yet again, I'll eat my words.
Woody looks a hell of a lot more happier than he was with bowerman.

McGortys World Ranking is good enough to get him in I think is the belief.
I never care much for Galen Rupp but didn’t he win 8 of these USATF 10000m Championships? Not so easy these days.

Is it? What’s the ranking cut off?
I agree that it’d be unlikely he could hit the standard at this point.

According to this, McGorty is number 26 in the world rankings. I think you just need to be top 50.

How is this guy still running in college!? HS class of 2017. Did he join mormonism?
Woody will be a great 8th place finisher at worlds
