There was no pinging. At all.
Someone claimed they heard some kind of noises but they had no clue what kind of noises they were. It could have been anything. Do you know how many different kinds of noises happen in the ocean? A lot.

You mean banging. Pinging stopped Sunday. Who knows what noises the sonars picked up subsequently. Maybe they heard what they really wanted to.

Well, it's the only conclusion after finding debris... except of course the nutcases will come out strong claiming conspiracy because the bodies haven't been recovered.
I really hope they stop wasting public resources now and don't spend any additional millions to try to recover other parts or the bodies. They really don't need an investigation either... if the families or insurance companies want to fund that it's fine. They got crushed, the company will go out of business, game over.
