They will clean house over there. Although The Auburn HC job will go to an SEC Associate Head Coach. It definitely won’t be anyone currently with the program.
The current Associate HC had a guy 3rd at indoor nationals this year and another finish 6th. I wouldn’t be surprised if they retain him
Honestly, Auburn can do much much better in hiring the new HC. Several NCAA title winning coaches will be after this job. They need to clean house otherwise it is the same philosophy and over-scholarshipping mediocre talent, and same team results. Look at Texas, Georgia, hell even NC A&T etc and what they have done the last 5 years. That AD seems he wants to win

Sounds like he will make a great assistant coach at another program
Look guys I don't make the rules I just pay attention. We make all this conjecture on here and then act shocked when it goes the exact same way it goes everywhere else. Auburn is a great school but it's not special. When there is an opportunity for change the change will soon follow.
For every associate head coach that gets promoted to run the same program there are 20 that will only get there shot elsewhere. Facts

Grand Canyon is hiring a new head cross country coach. Seems like Slattery did a good job establishing the program at GCU. Phoenix is pretty awesome too.

Auburn salaries are actually the lowest in the SEC by a significant margin. Facilities are stale. Track needs renovation and bleachers are a joke. Can be a great facility but seems for decades Auburn admin has not cared to devote any money to program. If a real national search is done it would likely force Auburn to either pony up an extra half million just for salaries than the 6 full time coaches receive now. Knowing Scott Richardson I suspect its his job to lose and the key will be can he induce the admin to do what it takes to upgrade and be competitive. AU field events under Richardson in jumps and multis and Ebel in the throws have been consistently strong. Key is being more consistent on the track. At times Auburn has had some serious sprint talent in the past decade.

No. Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Missouri and South Carolina pay less than Auburn. You can easily research salary databases of public universities.
No NCAA winning coach is going to be interested in auburn. Sad but true and you are right, it’s Scott’s to lose as the AD won’t bother interviewing strong candidates for the above reasons.

I would guess around 55k for assistants and 150k for HC?

Closer to 200k for HC and about 75-90 for assistants
