Not saying that at all. If he did receive $40 million in mid-70s and parlayed it into $7.2 billion (Forbes' estimate - not mine) he did very well. I calculated (in my head) he would have about $2.4 Billion if he had put everything into the S & P in 1974. I am not confident in the DJT calculation but it is what it is.

Forbes has him at $2.3B for their 2024 list and $4.7B for their “real time” worth. So, 50 years of underperforming the S&P and 6 bankruptcies. Not impressive.
