I see Trump killed off a half dozen offshore wind projects off the east coast. One of them was 70% complete. Trump hates green energy and in particular wind turbines, all because he doesn't like the way they look off the coast of Scotland.
These projects, when brought online, would have added 1.2 jigawatts of additional electricity to the grid.
With electrification of transport and AI data center use on the rise, the grid is under strain nationwide and rates are increasing by double digit percentages. Removing this new capacity with no means to add additional capacity in other ways (nuclear, etc) will just raise prices even further.
