Actually, I wanted to retract my last post. I know that these families are coming due to terrible circumstances at home. This is the only chance they have. I will be more sympathetic to their plight in the future.
Mayorkas is incompetent, but not criminal. He is simply following the follied directives from above. A couple million illegal crossings a year is an absolute failure of policy, but it is not impeachable.
The Israel measure makes sense and is really how Congress should govern. Grouping together multiple unrelated measures into omnibus spending bills is a big part of the massive deficit spending of the past few years. Washington is sick and this needs to change.
Trump lost a court case most figured he would lose. Not a big deal other than it enables the election interference the Dems are aiming for by putting federal trials close to the election which will require him in person. This is the stuff of Banana Republics. Democrat efforts to have the 2024 election decided in the courts rather than in the Democratic process will backfire on them in the long run.
The Senate has more true conservatives that oppose omnibus spending. Cruz, Paul et al. did the right thing.
I’d rather these individuals make decisions than the batch of Democrats that ran a $2 trillion deficit when there was no COVID emergency.
Here's an idea... how about you contemplate on trump's criming instead of giving him cover? Would he be swimming in legal issues had he not done all the things he did? He should have been prosecuted long ago. He is a stone cold loser who got his a$ beaten as the incumbent with the government behind him and going against someone who didn't even campaign. Do you really think Biden needs him wrapped up in legal trouble to soundly beat him again? But that he is stuck in the courts is purely his own fault. Find another Jesus - this criminal's time is finally up.
You have tried to make politics into a crime. Most of the cases against Trump are trying to criminalize disagreeing with someone. Only one has merit and it has never been applied to any of the other politicians that violated the same statute. Stop reaching. As for the Israel bill, that is how bills should be created. Make a single bill addressing a single issue, make sure it is funded and pass it. Get off the omnibus.

Nice post!
Asylum is for those facing persecution, not poverty. It is important to distinguish between the two.

absurd
think about what joe thinks are just disagreements. You know...when you think about it, the Bolsheviks just had a disagreement with the Czar. Khomenei had a disagreement with the shah.

obviously, but there are laws to determine who deserves asylum.
the legal system to determine who gets asylm is broken and Rs absolutely refuse to fix it. That's the problem.
Yep there hasn't been a push to fix this in a very long time. When finally there is a chance the Rs kill it. Remember how trump was going to fix the border and did nothing. But sure let's believe he is going to deliver a perfect solution. Why wait when Ds are ready to get it done now? Rs are a fkn disaster. They've done nothing but oppose Ds for a living and are simply unable to actually do something for the country.
Biden's disapproval rate shows that most people approve or not based on emotion. Not saying that's not important, because it is, but it's a silly thing to judge a President on.
As we sit here today, we are in the best economy in my lifetime. Has nothing to do with Biden...but the fact remains. We are still below full employment unemployment rate and near all time low at 3.7%, so everyone who wants a job has a job. Wages are up, the stock market hits new highs on the regular, inflation is back to historic norms, gas is where it should be, US OIL PRODUCTION IS AT AN ALL TIME HIGH, and The Fed has said it's almost time for rate cutting which will send the stock market into orbit.
So, when the economy is doing so well, what does the opposition have to do? Focus on Biden's age. Well, yep, he's old and showing it. Trump is also old and showing it. So, what do most Democrats say about Biden? "I wish he'd step down. He's too old."
So, what do most Democrats and Independents say when asked who they will vote for if it's Trump vs. Biden? "I'll vote for Biden."
Yeah they will. Biden will beat Trump like a drum.

Flagpole, in case you missed it: Despite Donald Trump leading in the polls for this year's Presidential Elections, Joe Biden still has an edge according to the historical “keys” to victory.

I didn't see that, but of course I know about the keys and that Biden is winning there. He is the very best person to beat Trump again, and so I hope he stays in for that reason. He's doing the country and the world a great service as a big blocker to allowing that evil Trump into office again.

And the likes of Gary and Sally will stay home devastated

Correct. Assuming Biden doesn't develop some serious illness as we approach election, Trump stands to suffer one of the nastiest political defeats in history. Gary is already lined up to repeat whatever excuse team orange will feed him.

This is the first time I'm hearing that commiting fraud, scamming others, stealing classified documents, and inciting an insurrection is "politics". Get a grip and come to terms with how badly you've been duped and brainwashed.
Glad that Senate Rs went on record for a while supporting the bill then publicly took orders from Trump to ensure nothing gets done. People are dying to vote for these winners.
Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), who was a key negotiator on a border compromise bill in the US Senate, says he was threatened by a popular commentator over his attempt to reform immigration law during an election year.
S&P increased 55.7% when adjusted for inflation under Trump (a 11.7% average annual return). Under Biden, it has increased 12.2% when adjusted for inflation (a 3.9% average annual return).
