I'll catch up to with them at some point between now and Monday.
I was communicating with a rep of his that was not in the caravan yesterday..but have not heard back from him in awhile.

So Laz and co have bailed out on this?
Anyone else now scrutinising what is happening out there?
Tracker looks static just now.
What is to stop him claiming some bull about finding inspiration from a kid or a sausage roll on the road and managing to get his mojo back and still beating the record?
He is testing his toe with walking this morning. From the looks of it, things aren't going to well. (just my guess because we have zero reports from the fine INDY running community)

But are the Geezers really quitting? They said they would go to NY?
We all know they're in on the scam.
You do realize that the laz quits poster isn't laz right?
Fake Laz is the best Laz.
Laz will be missed. wrote:

What are the chances that laz and crew just drove 5 miles up the road after telling him that they were done?

Update to Ulist from Laz:
forgive me for taking the liberty of helping rob
but having no cause to watch a man suffer unnecessarily
i literally gave him the shirt off my back
van huesen, lightly starched
oh robert, we have mourned you dead three times today
he walks aimlessly now
like an envelope with no address
and when his walking becomes too much to bare
he's slows himself down by running at a proper ultra-pace
i see great potential in him
he seems to be shaking hands with the pain
usually with his left hand
must be a british thing
he shows the visual signs of needing rest
but if Rob slept now
im afraid he'd wake up dead
and that is the worst way to wake up
-'laz
simply brilliant, captivating and bewildering all wrapped up in one.

That would be great. Don't announce your arrival. Bring a good camera.

It's from the ultralist (which I wrongly typed somewhere in the middle there).
There's no need for Laz to stay. It's over. It took him the full 24 hours to achieve what he needs every day. It's over. Any message from the RV contrary to this is a lie. It's over.

Or, with the speed Robbie is now laying down, bring an easel and some paints, and paint us a picture.

With laz and crew gone, I will not announce when I plan to meet. But there's about a 5 day window where I could reasonably connect with them. I don't see them cheating their way to 70 mile days again any day soon..but, hypothetically I could see them getting him a couple days of rest while plodding along in the R.V. at about the current pace.
Steve is the British Marathon 40+ record holder with 2:15:16 run at the Commonwealth Games. He is a different kettle of fish entirely. Superb runner with a track record of performances in quality races against quality opposition.
He converts up superbly through the distances.
I think Tom the biker from a few pages back is on his way for a quick visit.
Outside of Party City now?
I'm assuming they are getting hats and balloons for the victory celebration.
They are at Party City. Nobody has told RY that it is over yet. Must be getting supplies for the Times Square celebration.

How about some new LR t-shirts?
I'm thinking the pic of Robbie in Laz's white shirt with the words,
RELEASE THE DATA!
on the front?
There hasn't been a rojo sighting in several days now. Usually once a day there's a rojo flyby offering cash for something.
LOL!

I can confirm that the real laz posted that on the ulist.
Now hanging out in the wal-mart parking lot.

So the Geezers quit, Rob now "runs" 70mpd, his FB followers singing his praises "wow Rob incredible comeback you are sooo strong!!!"??Disappointing to hear the Geezers quitting when he is still walking. Rob is going to be riding in the RV as soon as they go with a magical 100 mile day. We definitely need boots on the ground or at least set up some kind of auto saving on the traffic cameras along the route.
There's no need. It's clearly over now. At the least, all the ULers are convinced he's a fake. There's no way he can fake the rest now, regardless of what ever happens with the earlier data. And if by some chance he starts miraculously churning out 70-mile days again, there's still time for someone to go back and shut them down.
