Haha, just did a quick count, and I found NINE people who said 2:07:48, and one person who said 2:07:46.
Nobody got it quite right, but it is actually pretty likely that 2:07:48 was just about the most common pick!

nope: that reads 2:07:48. There is a 2:07:46 on p.21.
My official guess to win the contest by picking an outlier was way off, 2:06:11, while my actual posted prediction was six seconds off, 2:07:53, serves me right for being a candyass.
Great job by Ritz to drop his marathon time by 2:08 in one race, getting it down below all but Khannouchi and Hall among American citizens, and running something more commensurate with his 5k and 1/2 marathon times. Maybe with confidence from this and continued health over the winter he will be able to put a low 2:06 out there at Berlin or London next year.
I just missed it at 2:07:51 - but I was damn close so I am proud of my skills in predicting his time. Congrats to the winners!
