Injuries. Like Chokervic’s mysterious illness. Exactly. You’re getting it
If I had to choose between the last two years of Nadal’s career and the last two year’s Djokovic’s career, I’d choose Djokovic’s.
The reason that you’re losing this discussion so badly is that you won’t admit you know very little about tennis. You have this angst over Djokovic being the GOAT that you can’t formulate a coherent argument. You contradict yourself and just proclaim some nonsense as true.
My expert recommendation is that you sit back, take notes from me and learn something. Stop making a fool of yourself. I feel embarrassed for you.
Well of course you would. Chokervic hasn’t finished his crash and burn yet. But now that he has real competition in Sinner and Alcaraz it’s going to be tough going. No longer the Kyrgios era! Not even some new drugs may be able to help him
Wait. You said Nadal had a “stately, elegant, normal decline.” Now you’re saying Nadal declined fast.
You've contradicted yourself so many times on this thread, you can’t keep your stories straight. :)
Thank you for at least fighting back today. It has been highly entertaining. Kind of like watching a turtle stick on its back, helplessly flailing around.
And come on. Andy Roddick won a title and made Finals during Fed’s early/mid twenties. lol
Yep, the 🐐of contradiction, hypocrisy, and narcissism gets caught in his own web of disinformation and deceit. Long live the 🐐. He’s nothing if not comical.
You notice he doesn’t take a position on who he thinks the GOAT is. He knows if he says it is someone other than Djokovic then I will tear him to shreds. Telling.

I thought you said Djokovic “fell off a cliff.” Is there another cliff? Lol
You don’t think he’s going to win more than 3 sets in Slams over the next two years? He’ll be 40 by the end of it -really old. I’ll take that bet. You?

Just when you think you’re at the bottom. There’s always more.
Choker went from the greatest year in tennis to 2 wins in 2 years.

We’ve been over this before. The proper terminology is “titles.” He had 5 “wins” at Wimbledon this year. That’s 5 times as many wins at a Slam than Nadal had the last two years of his ”stately, elegant, normal decline.” Lol

The master class continues.
Arguing terms because you know I’m right. He had the greatest year ever in 2023.

then an unexplained illness
Then nothing.
Greatest year ever? You said he was playing a bunch of chumps and nobodies. Another contradiction. lol
That same Kyrgios that defeated Nadal in the semis of that same Slam?
He’s no Baghdatis or Phillopoisis though. And come on three of Fed’s Slam final wins came against Andy Roddick. :) Sheesh.
Every way you spin it, Djokovic comes out the GOAT. Put away your silly personal feelings about him and admit the obvious. Djoker is the GOAT.
He's on the mount rushmore, but not the goat. Its hard to argue with him being one of the 3 or 4 best of all time. But this stretch of Pete, Federer, Joker etc...was unfortunately not overlapped enough for my taste. Some of the other greats had to contend with monsters their whole career. Especially Mac, Connors, Lendl, etc... Kind of like boxing in the 70s. Would have been awesome to see Joker and Roger closer together. Roger and Pete closer together. Not their fault, that many titles speaks for itself.
Joker has a lot of major wins vs the Thiems, Del Potros, Murrays, Ruuds, Kyrgios', Tsitsipas', Berretinis, Andersons', Wawrinka's...of the tennis world. He got Federer largely on the decline. He was nails against Nadal except at French, so full credit. Medvedev was no slouch.
Still patiently waiting for Harambe to drop his GOAT pick. Telling. We’re almost 30 pages in and the only thing we’ve learned is that he’s definitely not team Djoker because of some deep-seated irrational hatred of the guy. I mean, he knows Djokovic is the man, he just can’t bring himself to say it because he knows I’d have to tear through his argument like a silverback charging a three-year old with a banana of bad takes.
It’s clearly not Nadal. He called him “one-dimensional,” which is a tough sell for tennis immortality. Plus, he claims Nadal peaked early and then faded in his mid-20s like a clay court in November.
Federer? Nope. Harambe said you can’t be the GOAT if half your resume was built beating guys named Marcos and Mardy during the tennis era equivalent of recess.
So what’s the dead gorillas thinking? Is he channeling Sampras nostalgia? Borg fever? Roddick forehand delusion? Unless Harambe stops the grunting and snorting and starts communicating like Koko, I’m convinced his pick is stuck somewhere between hot takes and banana induced hallucinations.
Maybe someday he’ll stop hooting from the bushes and actually name the GOAT (Djokovic obviously). Until then, we’ll just enjoy the hot takes.

You kind of lost us with your Federer take. Joker has had the longest list of no names in finals that you can imagine. Not his fault, but don't crack on Roger. Novak had one all timer to contend with and that guy is a clay court specialist who could play well on all surfaces at times. So don't throw stones in glass houses. Go look at Novax opponents in finals. Its laughable most of the time. Its unimaginable to win as many majors as he has, but let's be honest, this isnt the late 70s and early 80s.

No my take on Fed. That was Harambe’s.
I appreciate the response. It’s great to have someone to debate who has a pulse. Are you arguing that Fed’s draw early in his career was strong? I take it that you (falsely) think that Nadal was one-dimensional as well?

Full credit to Chokervic for playing the hand he was dealt. But the GOAT needs more than good execution.
Chokervic because he chokes. He has won 2 tourneys in 18 months. One of them a garbage cakewalk.
He’s a doper, a whiner, an antivaxxer, and ruined the end of his career with long covid.
Calling out an athlete I don’t like isn’t being a dick. I don’t like the guy. That’s the point of these discussion boards, no?
My fave rage post so far. I want more of this. :)
Yep, this is the crux of the matter, Harambe’s full fury revealed for the world to see. Just like he said on the other thread that he *controls* the entire ruse (like all good progressive Democrats). If Djokovic wins, it’s because of drugs (nevermind Sinner’s actual bust). If he loses, it’s because of long Covid, and Harambe is so bored with life that he’d rather debate this argument that nobody else can “win” while he’s controlling it all day long rather than go do literally anything else.
But, fundamentally, he’s just pissed that he couldn’t convince everyone to get the mRNA vax, most of were right for the “wrong” reasons, and even the former director of the CDC has turned on him. And Djokovic is the flag bearer of that movement so we must demean and denigrate him, even as the 🐐. If these “scientists” could only learn humility and take some ownership. But they won’t. So when we have a real pandemic, it’s going to be a $hitshow.

Fury? I just don’t like the guy.
Unlike you chokervic lovers, I’m ok with someone disagreeing with me. I don’t write 50 posts defending his goat status, for example.
Also if the next pandemic is a “$hitshow” it’s because people like you spread antivaxx propaganda tirelessly and sowed mistrust and doubt. More Trumpers will die to own the libs. Epic they showed us!
