do i have to spell it out? the reporter knew sufficiently much if he had wanted, he could have preempted the attacks with a story, which likely would have been denied and the attack called off. he chose to let it go to confirm what he'd been allowed into was real.
I'm not sure what level of upset we should be with this, but it's most certainly not acceptable. A little accountability would be nice. Trump should come out and say it was a huge mistake, and they are taking action to make sure it doesn't happen again. That would be enough to please me until the next time.

This was a major breach of OPSEC with specific details about a military strike before that strike took place. Those details surely would have been classified. It's is that simple.
No names, no targets, no locations.
The breach was including the journalist and the person who made that error should resign or be fired.
There's also F-18s in Jordan and other places apart from carriers.
Why is adding the journalist any worse than not verifying who was on the group? Hint: it isn't. That's why every singe person on the chat should resign (and the ones that have lied to try and cover it up should be jailed - I hear there's space in El Salvador (no due process needed!)
