Hard disagree- Sage is not coy about posting his viewpoint from his own account and will often call out individuals by name, so why would he suddenly hide behind an alt given this has never stopped him before? If he had something to say about Roche he would say it on his own account. Plus, in my opinion he's already made a public comment about Roche in the treadmill youtube short linked above (and it was quite funny).

One of the boulder boys (I think it was Adam) made a comment about how David is like the godfather in that people are afraid to talk about him. He runs around telling everyone how amazing they are and so suddenly it’s sacrilege to call him out on his neurotic attention seeking behavior. Not to mention his cringy attempts at acting like an “alpha”. We need more Sage content, I mean the guy is a walking SNL skit and no one else is willing to call it out??
Roche is the one who hired a blade to cut the flags at mile 93 of states back in 2016, to sabotage the true G Jim Walmslet. Didnt like that walmsleet was coming into his trail territory and getting positive attention.

tbh Sage is too chicken sh*t to post his honest feelings on here about Roche.

Of all the athletes you could be levelling this towards I find it baffling that you'd call out Sage given he has previously publicly shared 'strong opinions' on Seth Demoor, Kofuzi, Choi and god knows how many others. Also, he literally just posted a youtube short that is very obviously a dig at Roche. So unless you're trying to goad him into saying even more, I'd say your criticism should be thrown at someone else.

he should say more. he should say something directly rather than posting a passive aggressive (albeit very funny and cutting) youtube video

lol. Lots of gymnastics why a third of these posts aren’t sage alts. A bit much protesting. It is like thinking rojo is a democrat who only posts under his main account.

I dont think Sage would outright say something. He exists in the same space as a coach and youtuber etc, so it could have ramifications on his finances and lose clients who see it as petty. Realistically why take that chance.
He has made the short, which is a typical Sage satire video, so I think thats par for the course. He also made an instagram story about hearing rumours of 'Coaching Mills' in which coaches were copy+pasting training for athletes. This was around the time letsrun+reddit were harping on the fact this is apparently what the Roches do. So I think thats about as far as he will take it.
Sage probably learned to back down after seeing how Jason Koop and Kevin Beck were vilified for voicing their opinions on the Roches. The ultra running world isn’t ready for the truth yet, but this thread gives me hope.

Exactly, now that the Roche’s have groomed their little SWAP cheerleaders they can act as ridiculous as they want and it’s “forbidden” to call them out because that makes you a “hater”…

"Hecklers"? A few of my college teammates were 4:00min milers (3:42 for 1500m). There are certain indicators that 4 min milers usually do. (in workouts and races outside...not on a Treadmill!). One of those would be doing an...
In week 10 of the 50km training plan on the swap website, one of the long runs for Saturday is described as:
16-22 miles easy/mod on trails. 1 hour moderate around marathon effort, faster to finish.
how is this an easy/mod run? Is this meant to be easy to begin, then doing 1 hour at marathon effort than going harder at the end? That sounds like a really hard run to me. Does this make sense to anyone else?
Or is the marathon effort akin to 4 min mile effort - ie much slower than marathon effort.

Doesn’t seem very personalized at all. Quite the opposite actually
