I think they could have been implemented in a better manner that wouldn't have caused the brief crash we had. But some of the Panican whining about tariffs is just derangement. Biden increased tariffs on China and was never criticized.

The New York Daily News confirmed that Trump gave a 10,000 dollar donation to a New York bus driver who prevented a suicide attack. He also helped in ferrying a child who required medical attention using his own airplane.

That’s not at all an answer about how your professors criticizing tariffs as an economic policy is somehow “woke”.

A donation means Trump writes off $10,000 and the person getting the money pays taxes on the $10,000. Someone with real empathy gives the $10,000 and pays the taxes themselves. That way the person gets $10,000 and not $3-4,000 less.

It should not go without noticing that this most devoted card carrying Trumper needed to go back 35 years to find an episode he could pass off as proof that Trump has any traces of empathy.
But that's OK. He is not building his Ballroom or Arch for himself. He is doing it for you. It will be your arch with his name engraved on it to celebrate yourself.

Just a reminder that with his tariffs, trump is re-enacting the core economic plan that threw the USA and the world into the decade-long Great Depression that ended in a World War. That's what the idiots voted for. The same policy that brought us 25% unemployment.
After being enacted, the 1930 Republican leaders of the tariff movement assured America that while they hurt the economy at the start, things would quickly improve. Trump is saying the same thing of course.
