anyway, you can't build and maintain a 2,000 mile wall without enviro and other problems. THe land for the wall would have to be taken at gunpoint from landowners after decades of court cases. We all know this. In some places a wall makes sense. In others it doesn't. Try harder sally.

And we also know millions come into the country on airplanes. This is such and old discussion.

we all know the only practical solution is to build up the economies of latin america so their people don't want to leave. That's it. That's the only way we can manage this without resorting to militarized checkpoints, concentration camps, arresting business owners who hire illegals, putting farms out of business, etc.

We already helped Mexico boost its economy, so predictably, it now has a net zero emigration rate because its economy is good enough to keep its people.

If we helped other lat am nations do the same to improve their economies, the immigration would slow and then stop.

But of course that's anathema to right wingers, so we'll keep having all this immigration.

Right wingers are conservative. In many ways that means looking backwards. As such, "build that wall" rings true in theirs. It is so simple. And so right. After all Barbara Steisand and Barrack Obama.. etc, etc.

It doesn't register that ladders and people can scale those walls over 2,000 miles. If they would look forward instead of backward they would see the foolishness of waisting billions of dollars on that.

Human Transport drones are plummeting in price and will continue to do so. How effective will your wall of vertical poles be with mules lifting people up and over the wall for a fee?

By the way, why is Trump not doing his "build that wall" thing anymore on the campaign trail? Has he abandoned that sales pitch or have I missed it?

I prefer to look forward. 2020 is over and done with. Biden has failed the American people, he's not fit to serve and we may still see impeachment proceedings (not betting on that). His polls are all in the crapper. The border wall alone will doom his reelection chances but as I said before, he's dropping out of the race.
