Trump meets some psychological need in those who slavish praise and worship him. They see him as strong because he breaks rules and readily ridicules and attacks others. His audience thoroughly enjoys when he does that, that's clearly evident by their applause and cheering. The Trumpers need this and probably feel strengthened by it.
There is a social psychology aspect to this too. They are part of the Trump family (they think) and are somehow enhanced and made special by it.
