This is what successful, conservative women do in my culture. Your description sounds like conservative women are a bunch of assisted losers in your culture. Who feels attracted to losers? Other losers?
Maga type males choose dependent, subservient women who will do as they are told. But then they complain that these same women can't pull their weight financially or with independent decision making. They are bitter about this, yet need to justify to everyone that this poor decision was the proper one.
The maga women are bitter because they married a controlling jerk who demands total subservience, then is mad that they won't think for themselves fearing retribution. Publicly, these women say their oppression is "family values". Privately, the despise their husbands.
The upshot of all this is that maga men do indeed need to pay for the company of women because the despise women who are educated independent thinkers who could contribute financially to their families.
