They were appointed by Democrats--which make sense, since GOP governors have been rare in CO over the last decades--but "the chief justice, Brian Boatright, is a Republican, while three justices are Democrats and three are listed in voter registration records as 'unaffiliated' with a party."

apparently the two campaign officials had already certified the vote, but after being bribed by the Republican Party, tried to decertify the election. But it was too late. The Republican Party won’t make the same mistake again - they will put yes men in office well before the election.
