CO had a five-day trial to determine if putting Trump on the ballot violated CO law. Do you think states can't administer their own laws anymore?

States should decide their own policies. For abortion rights, the federal gov should have no involvement is they wast to make it legal. Federal gov SHOULD pass a national ban, though. States should have control of their election process including drawing district maps and rules for who can run. Unless we don't like their rules and the federal gov can overrule it.
The Constitution is the sacred law of the land. But if my candidate says throw it out, it should then be ignored, especially if the laws therein limit my side from being in control.
Any investigation or prosecution of Trump is political and illegitimate. It was fine for Trump to ask his attorney general and a foreign gov to investigate his political rival.
Democracy must be protected. However, it is fine for Trump to call state election officials and tell them to change the vote count, send his team in to break into voting machines and spread lies about the election and election officials. Prosecuting them for this is anti democracy.

He has won their votes and given them nothing in return.

But, from a "common sense" perspective, it is hard for me to see how disqualifying Trump makes sense without him having been found guilty in a court of law of illegally interfering with an election or the transfer of power to the rightful winner of the election.
That there would be any need to disqualify him from running after such a conviction says terrible things about the large minority in this country who would vote for someone convicted of illegally interfering with such a foundational component of our nation. But that is another story.

A higher court agreed with the lower court, affirming the decision and saying further that CO could not legally put Trump on CO ballots.

I am not a big fan of the Colorado decision. Not because Adolf Von Twittler is not guilty of sedition. We all saw him insight his lunatics. And even to this day he praises what they did instead of trying to dial that crap back.
Instead I worry about the GOP bastardizing this just decision and just keeping people off the ballot as retribution or because it would help them win. Plenty of dishonest GOP state lawmakers and governors would be happy to do so.

I think this is probably the real reason the CO result may be a bad one for America even though it is correct on the merits
