Some of y'all Americans, with your population of 240million, need to be more generous with your praise of smaller nations!
Luckenkemper is a fantastic relay runner, usually running the curve on leg 3 where she's often the fastest, and here on leg 4 she eas running everyone down, including JAM & USA. Props where it's due!
Similarly in the 4x4, I think Bol knows Pryce is a quality athlete and there was no running her down so she coasted to bronze.
Irby-Jackson obviously was fast but don't take away from Whittaker who was over 1 second faster than Saalberg & others on leg 1. It was already over then. Klaver ran a brilliant 49.08 too for some redemption. A really strong leg, and then Vervaet continued to impress her with a 49.57, faster than Williams 49.58. But 4 great legs on leg 2. De Witte, with just a 51.71 SB, runs a 50.44 split - she's so reliable.
A really great relay for the top four teams here.
As for the men's...wow, what a final leg! I agree Benjamin looked a bit awkward, he was loping and looking slightly off. Lucky for him he just held on for silver...because I can't imagine the backlash if they had got bronze !
Netherlands medal in 3 relays, but also overall medal placing was great; not bad for a relatively small nation of 17 million.
