Fantastic race, good tactics by Parker but she just doesn't have the power yet. Good experience for her and hope she can alter her training to level up to win those types of races. So good to see Schweizer back healthy. Olympic favorites will need to take it out fast to drop Elle so they don't get outkicked.
I really wanted Vinny C to grab that Olympic spot. Dude has been a low key competitor for like 5+ years now. Sending our top guys though, just would have been nice for a relative unknown to sneak in, particularly over Hobbs who has probably another 3 Olympic cycles ahead of him.
I think you see the limit of the so much cross training. No gear change and no kick. If she really wants to be a great pro she will have to figure out how to up her running
i had a friend who ran similar times. Obviously a worse athlete as he's male, but he had no kick until a year. What changed? More mileage so stronger at the end, combined with daily fast strides to make running fast mroe comfortable
I feel like for her, her form / injury prone-ness means she can't do daily spiked up strides though
anyone else see Emily Infeld happen to hop back off the water stop right as everyone including her teammates ran by her to the finish? Planned move just in case to make sure the new hotness (Valby) didn't upset the Bowerman Babes
I feel so bad for Parker Valby that gal lead the whole race and those other gals didn't even want to lead till the end. I really feel bad for her she is such a brave runner and pretty too. So sad

More stupid comments about "distance" being important in the 100m by ignorant LR soy-boys. Distance training has NOTHING to do with the 100m. Top 100m sprinters learn how to RELAX during the last 40 meters because you can't go any faster, but you can hinder yourself by trying harding and locking up. Just like Coleman does, but he's never been a smart human being and has failed to realize it. He's champion of indoors, not outdoors, and NEVER will be over Lyles, Kerley, and some of the rest.
