Yes, last year Beckman had senior Ibzan Felix running in front with a 1:56, 4:07, 8:47, and 13:56
This year their front 7 are all hanging around 4:20 / 9:20, which should easily put them up as a top contender for California
Define "hanging around".....Milesplit shows one sub 4:20, two in 4:20's and four in 4:30's for 1600; 3200 shows one 9:20, two in 9:30's, three in 9:40's for 2024 season. They are certainly a player in CA and will feel like they're in their own backyard at Woodbridge but those numbers aren't accurate.
Yes, the Beckman Top 7 all ran a 9:35 full 2 mile during a time trial, including 2 new transfers, one who runs an already 2:00 and 4:25, and one who runs a 14:37 in XC, and freshman Ryan Barris made a large jump, running 15:30s during his XC season, to being a part of that 9:35 group. They weren't holding back but they certainly have more to give, and we are all definitely already in 4:20 and 9:20 shape as they are all improving and are in one pack consistently.
Beckman recently got 2 really good transfers, in their most recent time trial (3 weeks ago) whole top 7 ran 9:34-9:35 with a one second gap
I keep hearing two, but I only know of the one from Foothill. As I look through last season's track results and this years XC results, I don't see any 4:20 miler (which was the description used before) unaccounted for. Unless 4:20 miler can mean up to 4:29. Of course, I only looked at the southern section, it could be from somewhere else.

No argument about them being a top player....careful with your words if you don't want to be identified as a Beckman runner....."They weren't holding back" and "we are definitely already in 4:20 and 9:20 shape" in the same sentence is a dead giveaway. All said, you guys are legit.
Redondo Union #8 in their own section is just wrong. I would put MLK ahead of Great Oak based on Cool Breeze.
Hart got moved to D3 which gives them a good chance of winning state. They still have Matilda Torres in D3 though
In the D2 southern section rankings, I think that Woodbridge should be ahead of Newbury Park. This would still put Newbury Park in 7th with means they will have a chance to get the last state spot from this section
ML King and great oak go 1-2 but both are missing one of their top runners at cool breeze. No westin brown and no Brayden Lunetta. Anyone know if they are out for injury?
Brown and lunetta are in the entries list for Woodbridge

Nahhhhhh it’s not them, it’s a Del Oro from Bakersfield. Del Oro (SJS) hasn’t been good since Riley Chamberlin’s senior year. The majority of the girls team from DO transferred to Whitney high. I do rememba the days when our team would go on runs with Del Oro since the DO coach is the son of the former head coach of our team.
Westin Brown recently spotted in a boot again. Uncertain if he'll be ready for Woodbridge.
Without him, Great Oak won’t make NXN or win state. Their next best guy looks to be on the same level as the top runners of Arnold Beckman, Jesuit, and Mira Costa (all have a tight 1-5+ pack), and as we saw at Cool Breeze, he is similar as ML King’s 2-5 (when you count Lunetta), and obviously Zavaleta is one of the best in the state.
