Well you haven't given a definition which leads me to believe you don't have an actual argument.
"Transculant" gave you the definition in #488. I think that poster is a transgender person. Tell us which part of that definition you disagree with.
They did not, actually. They provided definitions of gender identity, gender roles and gender expression while saying they are all distinct from gender, but no explanation of what "gender" actually is. That does not explain how one can be transgender if not by acting out the roles and expressing oneself as the opposite sex - which is what one would be doing by dressing and appearing as the opposite sex, for example.
A trans person in closet has the gender identity opposite to their natal sex. But they don't have the gender role or the gender expression that match their gender identity. They are hiding their identity from the public by not aligning their gender role or gender expression with their identity.
A transvestite has the gender expression that is opposite to their natal sex, but their gender identity is the same as their natal sex. This person is not a transgender.
A transgender woman and a male identifying transvestite.

The fact that you have not come out and directly say exactly what you think gender is and what a transgender is, is very telling. It shows how this gender ideology is complete incoherent garbage when even it's most fervent adherents can't give a straight answer when describing their beliefs.
can attempt to read between the lines of your post - you're saying that gender is tied to gender identity? So a woman is whoever claims and feels they are a woman, even though according to gender ideologues, a woman is an abstract and socially constructed, culturally-dependent idea.
AB beats earnings and stock is way up! Boycott who???
That's from the first quarter big guy. Mulvaney happened in the second quarter.
Regardless, stock goes up based on forward looking projections, and their stock is up. In fact, share price went up over 3% after hours and have gained 10% this year.

Okay, probably won't last when the second quarter earnings report comes out.

I'll say it for maybe the third time in this thread: Share price is not revenue.
Unless they fire their CEO and marketing team (not just put on a leave of absence), Bud Light (as an entity) won't survive this. And maybe not even then. People have switched them off.
AB will survive because people in bars are not calling people a trans if they drink a Beck's or a Stella Artois.

From their press release today discussing the second quarter, they said company earnings will still grow between 4% and 8% this year. Of course, they could be proven wrong, but that's what they forecast.

+1. Very strange marketing decision… Bud Light marketing team really can’t read the room. I don’t think Bud Light as a brand survives even if they fire the whole team. But InBev owns a massive number of brands. I wouldn’t be surprised if their revenue and share price both continue to go up. People are boycotting Bud Light but not the parent company or its other products.

"A person with gender dysphoria" is what someone who is transgender is.
You don't need another term for it. There is already a definition of a person with gender dysphoria and that is "A biological male/female with a mental disorder."
Start calling them a "biological male with a mental disorder" instead of a transwoman and I'm good with that.

What I said was "I believe in the idea of gender, but gender identity, gender roles, and gender expression all get lumped under that."
Since it apparently wasn't clear, I didn't mean "these things aren't 'gender' but some other mysterious thing is." I think I've given all the pieces, but for the benefit of those who might actually care, I'll also put them together.
I meant that sometimes people say "gender" to mean "gender identity", sometimes "gender roles", sometimes "gender expression", and, I could add, sometimes "sex". (They also sometimes mean "one of several linguistic categories for nouns in a given language", but that isn't what I'm talking about.) If I had to sum it up, to give one overarching definition for "gender", I'd say these all fall under "one's existence and experience as a boy/man, girl/woman, both, or neither -- anatomically, physiologically, psychologically, and socially."
To be transgender is to have the anatomical and physiological experience ("gender" used to mean "sex") not line up with the psychological experience ("gender identity"). The distress that typically proceeds from this, and from the resulting inability to have the social experience (one's preferred "gender roles" and "gender expression") line up with the psychological experience, is gender dysphoria. To attempt to align these is what transition is.
The evidence gathered from decades of experience of transgender people and those who have worked on medical care for their situation is that gender identity is normally innate and not changeable, so the only effective way to align these experiences is to modify the other ones to the extent possible, about which plenty has been said, some of it reasonable, some of it idiotic, such as "you can't change chromosomes so you can't change anything". You can probably come up with examples from the other side that I'd consider idiotic too.
Further, one is transgender when one's gender identity doesn't line up with one's sex, whether or not one insists on modifying one's public-facing gender roles or expression ("dressing and appearing as the opposite sex"). This is true, too, regardless of whether the roles and expression one wishes to adopt align with stereotypes, averages, or some other simplification of the range of roles and expressions of men, women, or non-binary people in one's society. That doesn't mean that there won't be certain tendencies in what transgender people want to do.
The biggest problem isn't even the boycott; it's that they've become a cultural punchline. This is now like having an AOL email address or driving a minivan. People avoid it so their buddies don't rip them. Not sure how you fix that as a brand.

And they still guided in-line for 2023, so they must not be overly concerned at the moment otherwise they'd get the "bad news" out of the way (and buyback stock with the depressed share price).
"Anheuser-Busch guided 2023 earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization (EBITDA) growth between 4% to 8%, which is in-line with its medium-term outlook. The company sees revenue growth ahead of EBITDA "from a healthy combination of volume and price."
funny how it was reported that sales of coors and Miller lite have jumped 13% in the same time frame...companies that have backed "woke" policies in the past
And there are T**mp rallies where people think JFK Jr. is alive and going to be his vice prez, fly flags with him in military gear (mr. draft dodger himself) and claim he was sent down from god himself. You call those people mentally stable? HAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA
Funny how all you "patriots" that complain about libs taking away your freedoms HATE entire groups of people who simply want to live their lives how they want.

FYI, no one in the trans community really says "transvestite" anymore. Even "crossdresser" is dying off. Younger people who might have identified with that had they been born in past generations are more likely to think of themselves as non-binary, genderfluid, femboys (seems like this is the term that's winning for "tomboy, but in the other direction"), or, for the ones who actually are trans women, realizing this sooner.
