Infowars host Owen Shroyer, who promoted baseless claims of 2020 election fraud on the far-right internet platform, pleaded guilty on Friday to joining the mob of Donald Trump supporters who rioted at the U.S. Capitol. Shroye...
Most of the Republicans in Congress are pretty reasonable. They would align with the Dems to stop Trump from doing anything nefarious. The American people would not stand by and allow Trump to act as a dictator.
Are you intentionally putting us on with that statement? If you did, bravo because you did bring a smile to my face.
Nah, Sal's just one of our trolls, and thinks that whatever can get a response--like yours--is a good thing to post.
This is why the GOP crazy caucus is literally soiling themselves or TV this morning that Hunter Biden showed up at the capitol for a public hearing while defying their private hearing subpoena.
it is because he would have under oath and penalty of perjury said stuff like this:
Hunter Biden: "Let me state as clearly as I can. My father was not financially involved in any of my business. Not as a practicing lawyer, not as a board member of Burisma, not in my partnership with a Chinese private businessman, not in my investments at home nor abroad, and certainly not as an artist."
Keep in mind that Gym Jordan who is having a cat 5 meltdown is still in defiance of his subpoena.
I love it. Hunter should keep getting air time. These R clowns are playing marbles.

Trumpers wholeheartedly believe whatever Trump tells them. If Trump says it, Sally Vix, Newname, A-Dolt and Ghost will be here the next day repeating his lies as gospel. They do it with Jan 6th, business fraud, the big lie, documents case, witch hunt claims. they buy into all of it.

Name the liberal trolls here. Oh, you can't? Then you are political hack because there would be trolls on both sides but you only choose to call out as trolls those who you want to dismiss. Next time, be real.

That was a coked up Hunter. Comedy show. Someone should ask him about baggie he left in the WH.

I am sure there are trolls on both sides.
But there are huge differences in the purposes and motivations and effects of different trolls.
Your post about there being reasonable republicans in Congress who wouldn't allow Trump to do nefarious things was funny. It was a borderline troll that made me chuckle.
But some trolls are intended to spread disinformation and are designed to make others angry and upset. They are rightfully ignored. I am sure you do some of those too, but the one I referenced wasn't one of those.
But the fact is that the economy has done better under Democrats.
Again, without context, you are CORRECT!
Yes you too are absolutely correct, however there is irony in that statement that requires further explanation.
To respond to a list of very positive results occuring during most democratic presidencies since WWII with the comment, "without context", may be correct but it's effect is to diminish the importance of these positive results.
Here's where the irony comes in. "Without context" was itself given without context. It could lead some to believe these positive Democratic results are close to meaningless, while others might think it only refers to a possible slight (meaningless) over estimation.
The comment, "without context" has no context. How much are you implying that it might diminish the apparently strong positive historical effect of democratic presidencies?
Ghost of Gary: True believer. Just like a red cap rally goer. He may even own Trump trading cards and Trump Rambo posters.
Sally: 1/2 troll needing attention. 1/2 right wing devotee that will support the party no matter what.
A-Dolt: 100% troll. Scours any and all threads to argue and derail discussion with everyone about every point.
Newname: see A-Dolt
That's pretty good but I think you present true believers and trolls as two distinct categories.
You could be a 100% believer but still engage in purposely sending disinformation and making posts with the sole intention to anger and upset others. So Ghost, A-dolt and New name don't have to be either or.

Like the Biden laptop was Russian disinformation, that Biden never discussed family business dealings, that he was arrested for defending civil rights, that you’re not going to get COVID if you’re vaccinated, that migrant families are getting sent back and are not getting across the border, …

I guess that Voltaire guy knew a thing or two. I've seen that quote before, but never thought about it as much as I just did.
It's quite interesting. BEFORE Trump, I think that I would have looked at that quote a bit sideways. "Just" absurdities? Wouldn't wanna-be dictators be selling something more substantial and/or persuasive than just absurdities?
And then you think of Trump. Mexico will pay for the wall. The call was perfect. I won the election. WHATEVER the f*** he said in defense of CLEARLY asking for 11K GA votes. Etc., etc.
Somehow, in a way, my "favorite" is when, long before the 2020 election - when his poll numbers were stagnant at their quite low levels - he said that he could ONLY lose the election if there was cheating. I always remember thinking, "Geez, even the biggest Trumper MUST understand that that is....ABSURD. Even quite popular presidents go into most elections with the results uncertain. Can't the Trumpers MAYBE be insulted that he's clearly insulting their intelligence with that assertion?"

In fairness to Gary, he DID post a picture today of Biden portrayed as Adolf, so I feel that he did do his part to raise the level of discourse, a bit.
Or.....are his parents and teachers just shaking their heads, as they have been for decades?

Thats true. Perhaps I have too lofty of a viewpoint of my fellow citizens.
I believe that most Trumpers do not really believe all the batsh!t crazy stuff Trump says regarding deep state, election fraud, “I won by a landslide”, political witch hunt, windmills cause cancer. Instead they just love Trump so they love all there is about him, including the lies. To them, the ability of Trump to lie with impunity to everyone at any time is an alpha thing that attracts them to him.

It's entirely possible that the only "real" troll is El Runkin. Very creatively mocking you Trumpers, it would appear.
It's very likely that none of the rest of you are trolls - you ARE Trumpers, and you actually believe - or at least like - that sh**.
Last but not least, I don't think that I see any pretend anti-Trumpers.
I'd put unvaccinated straight white male right there with Sally. The username seems deliberately provocatively anti-left which seems like a troll but he also seems to (at least somewhat) believe right wing rhetoric

So are they true believers? I guess yes and no.
Unfortunately, I think that it might be the worst of both worlds. They're OK with some of the most absurd lies (for the reason you state).
But they also BELIEVE most or all of the less absurd - but equally dangerous - lies: A mamby-pamby Deep State in the freakin' law enforcement and intelligence communities (and medicine, and science), the Democrats being JUST as corrupt and otherwise unlawful as the Republicans, the law coming after him for ANY reason other than that he's a transparently criminal POS, etc., etc., etc.
Much more concisely: They're not JUST OK with lying. They're also dumb, often bad, people.
