you clearly are not a historian, so maybe go read a history book or two instead of whatever you think you are doing here.
Agip, I am not sure one who posts here incessantly should be recommending another poster to go read a history book.
And who says he is not a historian. Robin Hood didn't go around flaunting his prowess with the bow and arrow eons ago in Nottingham. He might be a very renowned historian just keeping a low profile.
Only a leftist would attack the messenger for pointing out the raging antisemitism of the left.
The presidents of Harvard, MIT, and Penn are not antisemites. They have condemned antisemitism repeatedly. MIT president is even Jewish
Hmmm.......
Welcome to @Harvard. You’re allowed to chant for the genocide of Jews but if you use the wrong pronouns you will be punished pic.twitter.com/FUptXsxq3H
Professors are allowed to have unpopular views. There’s an openly racist Penn Law professor, for example. I have never, ever believed that people should be fired from their job for their thoughts.
Meanwhile you’re going to vote for the guy that invited Kanye and Nick Fuentes (two antisemites) over to his house for dinner so that people like Carmine will vote for him.

Professors are allowed to have unpopular views IF those views follow the liberal narrative. Do you really think a KKK member would be welcomed at Harvard university. You know as a smart person Harvard would never allow someone who is a KKK member. Do they really accept all or only those who are following their liberal narrative. You are a budding law student - come on dude - screw the liberal narrative . Think on your own!
I'm just seeing the talking point 'Trump will appoint himself dictator for life' making the rounds. Given the 'I support the current thing' so many in America seem to go for I wonder if anyone actually takes this seriously.
So, I'm asking if any of the posters on this thread think that if Donald Trump is re-elected that there is a non-pretend chance that he would declare himself dictator for life.
I find the idea laughable. Even if he did try such a stunt, there's no way people (including those in the government) would go for it.

I don’t think the Penn Law professor I just mentioned has views that follow the liberal narrative and she’s definitely still employed (although she’s not allowed to teach first years and her classes are never fully enrolled, from what I understand). There are definitely super conservative professors at Harvard, Yale, etc.
I am fascinated at how Trump is getting away with his history of antisemitism. I think it might hurt him in the election actually but we’ll see.

a second trump admin would be a constitutional crisis, full stop. We don't have systems to deal with a president who would break all the rules and not follow checks and balances.
THe best example is court orders. Up to now, all modern-era presidents obey court orders to stop doing things. That's a core check and balance. I'd 90% expect trump to ignore court orders and keep doing whatever he is doing. That would be an instant Constitutional Crisis. No one knows what would happen.
Similarly, he'd try to fire most of the civil service, which is illegal to do. Would he stop because of a 'law?' of course not.
similarly, he'd not put anyone through the senate for approval, as the constitution says. He'd just hire 'acting' officials and let that be. Another Constitutional Crisis.
He'd try massive roundups of illegals and put them in camps. He certainly won't stop doing that if a court tells him to stop.
Impeachment and removal is the obvious remedy but the Rs would never do that in a million years.

The Kentucky Republican's post featured a popular meme format and appeared to imply that Congress was not interested in “American patriotism,” but was interested in "Zionism."
Putin wants to increase security on the US/Mexico border?
Can't have that
you ever wonder why the GOP is so aligned with Putin? Ever? And why the trump campaign worked hand in hand with Russia to get elected?
No, I don't. Do you ever stop using Putin as a boogieman for everything? Until now, the GOP couldn't have rubber-stamped Ukraine funding faster if they tried. About time they tried to get something in return.

well you ask yourself why Putin wants Trump to be president, and why the trump campaign accepted the help and sleep on that.
And of course trump said he'd accept help from putin again.

The American kidnap victim released by the terrorist group Hamas during its ongoing ceasefire with Israel is a great-niece of Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, a major Democratic party donor who paid handsomel

This right here is the foolish and naive belief that there are unarmed people or institutions that will step in and save us if things got bad.
I know this is naive because I once believed it too. Trumps 4 years and his surrogates action since have exposed dangerous vulnerabilities in what we believed was a strong system of law and order. And checks and balances. Hell, people saw Jan 6th live on TV and thought his days were toast. Even that has been whitewashed as being a patriotic event that Trump has no problem publicly celebrating!
Since the election smart people around Trump (not Trump himself) are working to make sure there are zero checks on his power if they get another shot. Funded by the heritage foundation and using technology of Oracle they are establishing a database of right wing loyalists to take control of institutions immediately on day one. They aren’t even hiding it. They learned the weaknesses and are ready to exploit.
A failed coup with no consequences is a dress rehearsal for next time.

1) Declare state of emergency (pick any of a number of reasons) - Very easy to do
2) Declare martial law - Very easy to do
3) Do not declare end of martial law - Very easy to do
No need to stand up and declare "I am henceforth dictator for life." Just make it so.

All legal.
The fact that Trump wants to alter the rules of the US military to be able to take action against domestic “threats” instead of being restricted to foreign threats should be sufficient for thinking citizens to gauge the danger of a Trump 2nd term.
But the strong pull of “owning the libs” with a Trump 2nd term is too much.
