Are y'all still talking crap about Cale?? He's a hard-working young coach running a championship program with very little funding that sends multiple kids to regionals each year. Danny built a championship program that won a lot of conference titles and Cale inherited it, this is true. But he didn't mess it up. In fact, he has won 5 of them in the past 2 years. Danny is a great guy but those that know him also knows he is not a saint. Cale is producing the same results with less funding, roster size, coaches, and off the field issues than his predecessor. These are facts! WCU isn't the greatest school in the world and Cullowhee isn't the best place to live. I personally hope to see him do well and continue to move up the coaching ladder. KSU would be lucky to get him.

Wasn't this speculation about an open job at Kennesaw State that you were rumored to be interviewing for?

Texas State is currently doing interviews and Sac State has been offered to a couple people so far.

At a meet but heard about a female candidate on campus. Seems to have hit it off with the team.

All, enough is enough. The job at KSU will go to Cale McDaniel. He is an unbelievable Coaching talent. He has taken a so so Western Carolina program and turned it into a Regional Powerhouse. He has the total package. Not only is he Track & Field Savy, he also handles the XC Program, which he has brought back from the dead. He can coach, he can recruit and he can lead. Also, he can host an unbelievable meet. Last year put on several home T&F Meets with one being conference championship meet, and all who attended said it was the best conference meet ever hosted by a SoCon School. If I'm not mistaken, he also is the host school for this years XC Championship Meet, and again, expect nothing but first class championship. May even have the Catamounts in position to push Furman to the limits for the conference title. That's just how good/great this guy is and this is why KSU will have him as their next HC.

Yep! Majority of DI schools go after coaches that don’t apply. Which is why it’s really pointless to fill out an application. Schools already know who they want 9 times out of 10. I’m sure KSU has who they want. Just has to go through the HR formalities.

Patti Sue a good job? How? You know what recruits she has brought in this fall? You know what recruits have committed or will sign? Perhaps her training is solid but we know that how? Perhaps Patti Sue has done a good job bringing the female distance group together but how do we know that?

In 4 years we will see if consistent recruiting has been done and if it was successful and if the training has shown consistent long and short term development for the majority of athletes.

Sac State was announced a month ago... the only openings they have are part-time assistants
