If you go to the grocery store you cannot believe the upbeat stuff the Dems here are selling. My salary hasn't gone up and my cost have skyrocketed. Biden's America is my nightmare. I am downtrodden at work, no retirement in sight and I am out of shape and forced to pretend to believe in all the woke sh!t the HR demons at work are shoving down my throat. I really wish I could go back in a time machine to the good old days when good old boys could get a great paying job and a pension without a college degree. Seeing all of the politically correct casting my Disney and other MSM makes my blood boil.

They could have passed whatever budget, including tax increases, they wanted, so regarding the topic at hand, Joe is correct. This article specifically whines about the Trump tax cuts which were passed with 51 senators and which Democrats chose not to roll back.

Under Biden, the Democrats first had the House, but not Senate. Now they have Senate, but not the House. They managed to get a bipartisan $1.2T infrastructure bill passed. It covers moving semiconductor and EV auto manufacturing on shore.
Trump had both House and Senate for 2 years. He passed a tax cut for the rich and corporations.

They've controlled the senate Biden took office.
No infrastructure has been built and most of it will get squandered because they haven't done the permitting reform necessary to build things at a reasonable cost and timeframe like we used to.
Semiconductor investment is also full of ridiculous red tape (prohibiting necessary immigrants from TSMC, handouts to interest groups) that may prevent it from having any success.

They've held the majority since Jan 2021. That's how they passed two massive spending bills along party lines via budget reconciliation.
Your article points out the same problem I did. The TSMC factory in AZ isn't being built because TSMC engineers can't move to the US thanks to Biden's union-influenced policies.
