It's true that China could be the next India, COVID-wise.
Although more likely if China thinks COVID is spreading quickly, it would lock everyone up in the their apartments. India can't do that.
The regulatory issues are also a problem but not a major one, I think. Anti-trust existed in the US for a while too...somehow we managed to do well despite its arbitrariness.
