Rob's FB says 61 miles done today. Which is correct? With 690 miles to go from where he is, I make that 57.5 miles per day left, which doesn't seem to have gone up from previous required mileage.

RY must be measuring from his last "big" break and resuming from near Cloverland last night which would be about 61-62 miles. 24-hour mileage figures are obviously the key metric. But depends on which period you're talking about.

continuous to me means always moving forwards under the power of my own legs. i can walk for periods. i will stop for 1 hour a day for a meal provided by my crew. peeing will take place behind bushes etc and no sleeping

yes i could enter a 6 day race if i had the funds to do that. this is for me and my challenge about myself. surely a "real runner" is someone that runs.... regardless of where, why, how far, how long.....

Huh? This is from today? When/if I get foot/shoe problems it is when I start ramping up my long runs at the beginning of a training cycle. How can this guy, who's been running for so many days and many more mile per day and faster miles per day, suddenly be having foot/shoe problems when: (1) he's going slower; (2) he's doing less miles; and (3) he's been running long miles for weeks with no issues? His whole footwear situation should have been worked out weeks ago.

Does this make sense to anyone? Suddenly he has to cut apart his shoes?

I think it would be way cheaper to do a 6 day race. There should be a couple in Europe.
