It is not abnormal for NY or big city politicians and AGs like Bragg to campaign on holding criminals accountable by name. They have been doing it for years. It is a campaign winner. It just so happens that Trump has decades of widely reported business corruption that all New Yorkers have known about for decades.
How can you support Trump yet claim his prosecutions are invalid because politicians ran on holding him accountable? To be consistent you must agree that the hundreds of people Trump said he would throw in jail on the campaign trail are innocent too.The difference is that there is abundant evidence of Trumps crimes. Not so much for Trumps claims.

meanwhile, in the reality-based world, prison populations in NYC have been rising for years and years. Especially pre-trial detentions, which mean the whole 'catch and release' thing is probably not real.

We don't need Venezuela's oil. The U.S. extracts almost enough domestic oil to feed itself. But, it exports more than it imports. Rather than process the oil in the U.S., it sold to foreigner countries for processing which is then imported back. TrumpCONomics in action.

The U.S. does not need the oil. The American oil companies want to go in to extract it and sell it to countries not named the U.S.A. The grift for Trump will be huge. The to American taxpayer to line oil companies pockets will be biglier.
