These unelected Democrat rogue judges are a huge problem in our country today. Our founding fathers never intended for them to wield this much power. Comey and James should be in jail for what they did to Trump.
Bonda did get at least two loaner US attorney (Lemons and Diaz, I believe) up to ED Virginia to essentially take over for the incompetent Halligans. They might agree to try again, if there was ever another opportunity.
Not sure what happens when the dust clears here, but I think Judge Nachmanoff dismisses the whole case without deciding the other pending motions to dismiss -- "Literal Truth," Vindictive/Selective and the "Halligans is a Retard and Now Probably a Lying Retard Too" motion regarding the Fake Indictment. I think all those other motions now get denied as moot, which is too bad. At least too bad for the public and the justice system. Halligans may actually have dodged a bullet to her reputation getting the whole case tossed on 28 USC 546, although she's probably too dumb to realize it.
We shall see . . . .
Lawfare perperuated by left wing Deep State judge.
Power, or even the proximity to power, can be very enticing.
As a NYC lawyer, I'm about four levels below Todd Blanche and we did not mix in the same circles, but he was very well respected among NY attorneys. After his unsuccessful criminal defense of President Trump in 2024, he might have chosen to stay in private practice...but that siren call of a major gummint job, even if serving Trump, was too attractive.
I read an interesting description of the appearance of trumpers out of the woodwork...
if you are a normal american and appreciate law and order, progress, honestly, honorable fellers, you have a tolerance for non-white people and gays, you are comfortable here.
if you do not go along with those characteristics, if you chafe at gay cupcakes or whatnot, you just put your head down and don't say anything. You are unhappy about the way the country is going, but you keep it to yourself, because you will be shunned by city society if you really don't like gays or immigrants.
So you don't know who these people are. Some say that in cities, if you don't know someone's politics...that means they are conservative or trumpers.
So now they are coming out, so to speak. They were always there, but putting their heads down and grumbling.
As a lawyer, do you think Halogen is secretly breathing a sigh of relief? I can't imagine how much more humiliating this case would have been for her if she ever got to trial and had to go up against Fitzgerald etc. And had to have each piece of her supposed evidence ripped apart.
I have to think that she's relieved to be shut of this stuff, yes.
Well, maybe not completely shut: She may be facing some disciplinary/ethics actions. Among other things, an attorney who realizes she cannot handle a case competently is supposed to refuse the case--or to leave it once it's underway, if she then realizes that she's out of her depth. And Halligan had plenty of chances to realize that.
I'm not going to denigrate insurance defense, her previous gig: It can involve some very complex points of law, and apparently she was good at it. But that experience doesn't equip one to be the top prosecutor in a really major district like EDVA.
Be pretty harsh to discipline someone for failing to recognize their own incompetence. "You are an idiot, and if you had been smarter, you would have known you were an idiot." Catch-22 type paradox situation.
It seems like sanctions/discipline should be pursued regarding Hannigans' false and misleading accounts of the who, what, when, and why of the filing of the fake Indictment. But if the case has been dismissed, as I think it has been, there won't be enough of a record of what happened on that for another tribunal to consider.
Sleepy Joe weaponized the injustice department to pursue a ton of lawfare against Trump. They knew they couldn't beat Trump legitimately, which is why they sic'ed the government on him and tried to physically kill him as well.
You are incapable of understanding that there’s overwhelming evidence of Trump’s crimes which merited legitimate prosecution. You can’t understand that because you swallow everything he says without a second thought.
Oh really. What's next, whistleblowing on big tobacco? Whatever you say, chief.
“I’m grateful that the court ended the case against me, which was a prosecution based on malevolence and incompetence and a reflection of what the Department of Justice has become under Donald Trump, which is heartbreaking,”
This is what a real LEADER sounds like when they make a statement.

^conversely, this not what what a LEADER sounds like
I haven't been here in several months, but I see that the inflammatory dialogue is still going strong.
Apparently, there was a separate discussion thread dedicated to the infamous "Quiet, quiet, piggy!" comment, but it looks like the mods deleted it. I assume that the hardcore MAGA zealots tried to find some way to justify that type of petulant behavior, and the ensuing discourse simply went too far.
Happy holidays, runners. Hopefully, everyone finds a healthier way to spend their free time over the next five or six weeks.

Merry Christmas, and happy Columbus Day (although it already happened - October 13)!

Wrong, mugglenuts. Marjorie Traitor Brown (MTB) flew too close to the sun. Now she will pay the price in ignomy. She went out in a spazzing shriek of victimhood, martyr complex and delusions. Look at this sh!t from her precious goodbye speech:
"If I am cast aside by MAGA Inc and replaced by Neocons, Big Pharma, Big Tech, Military Industrial War Complex, foreign leaders, and the elite donor class that can't even relate to real Americans, then many common Americans have been cast aside and replaced as well."
She sounds like a hysterical liberal reciting every silly name for imaginary enemies she can think of. Trump exposed this MeToo# whackadoo as the RINO she is. Then he DESTROYED her. MTB has nothing left now except shame, ridicule, and humiliationism.

If what you say is true, why isn't he in prison?
Trump successfully ran out the clock on the charges that would have most likely have carried prison time, having been reelected as President and the prosecutor deciding to drop the case, citing DOJ policy to not prosecute a sitting President.

What in God's name are you blabbering about, son?
That is what I want to know, even though here on the China-North Korea border, we don't have much truck for God.

Give me a break. So they'll pick back up in 2028, you're saying? Wanna bet? They were trying to stop him from being President, tobacco boy.
At the risk of ever indulging your childish, zealot, lying posts, I didn't point to Epstein's word as the truth, I never said I trusted him, and you haven't made any point from which to counterpoint to.
That said, a normal, interested person would review at the Epstein-Maxwell email and employ all the usual methods of evaluating the accuracy and meaning of any written document - context, language, intended audience, expression, time, motive/intent, cross-referencing, etc.
It's a private email from Epstein to a co-conspirator Maxwell, both of whom have expectations of privacy regarding what is being said between them. It is not a public announcement or an answer to a media interview. The motive to lie in this type of private conversation, especially between two conspirators, is low.
The email is confessional and against the declarant's (Epstein) interests. Saying "[Trump] knew about the girls" acknowledges that "the girls" alleged to have been assaulted by Epstein do indeed exist and that he indeed assaulted them. Statements made by a declarant that are against a declarant's own penal or pecuniary ($) interests are considered accurate and truthful -- so much so that they are actually exceptions to the rule against admission of hearsay in American courts.
The email uses language indicating that the recipient, who is a co-conspirator, knew the subject matter well. The recipient (G. Maxwell) tacitly acknowledges the accuracy of the statement in the email ("I've been thinking that too"), and she doesn't contradict, qualify, or protest the accuracy of the statement that "[Trump] knew about the girls." That's a high indicia of reliability.
The email does not recite behavior that would be considered much worse. It does not recite "[Trump] knew about the girls and also assaulted them" indicating accuracy and honesty about the expressed extent of Trump's involvement.
The email is drafted years after Epstein's conviction. The email is in the form of a lament and does not express any intention to perform future affirmative acts by Epstein.
So, that's what a normal person would make of the Epstein-Maxwell email where Epstein said "[Trump] knew about the girls."
Cool. Can you try without name calling? Then maybe I'll respond.
Proceed, halibut head. It's been days. More than enough time to crank up your AI.
