Jussie Smollett is begging his "Empire" family to believe he's innocent and continue supporting him -- even as the drama of his arrest postponed a scene Thursday in Chicago.

Sources on the "Empire" set tell us the cast and crew were waiting at least 30 minutes for Jussie to begin the scheduled scene. When he eventually showed his face he was very emotional, and surrounded by his family.

We're told he addressed everyone on set, saying ..."I’m sorry I’ve put you all through this and not answered any calls. I wanted to say I’m sorry and, you know me, I would never do this to any of you, you are my family. I swear to God, I did not do this.”

After that, he left the set. We're told it was obvious Jussie had been crying a lot, so producers said he would have to come back later. He did, and we're told he is currently shooting the scene.

Chicago Police Super Eddie Johnson is trying to bully Smollett to roll over and plead guilty. Surveillance footage, bs. Super Johnson wants to intimidate Smollett so Smollett's attorneys do not take this to trial. Those Nigerian-Americans will not hold up well under cross-examination.

Roseanne lost her job & had her show canceled over a “racist” tweet. Jussie Smollett faked a hate crime, blamed it on Trump supporters, was issued a warrant for his arrest, surrendered his passport, faces multiple felonies & still hasn’t lost his job........yet.

Smollett is in trouble due to the technology we have today. He can't erase the texts, internet searches, bank transactions. He's gonna look like a complete fool fighting this. It's gonna be great.

You are absolutely correct, sir. Smollett is a POS loser who needs to be fired, NOW!!!!

OJ wasn't dumb enough to leave a literal trail of evidence. The only actual evidence against him was a glove that he was able to show did not fit. Smollett texts, phone calls, receipts, video evidence...and that's all we know. Pretty sure that letter will come back with fingerprints or DNA because he's clearly a dumbf*ck.
