The Buffalo State meet was slow all together this year. It was much more humid and hot than last year, and the course was a lot mushier than it usually is. This probably also explains why Tom had such an "off" race.
Everyone knows you can't compare times year to year due to weather and course conditions anyway.

I wasn't trying to say that it should be taken as something more than a 5k in September. Just that it happened, and calling Tufts a JV squad isn't exactly fair either. I also fail to see how 19 seconds from 1 to 5 is "getting ugly". TCNJ's top two are juniors, and then its freshman, sophmore, freshman. Bocchino was an individual qualifier for Nats last year. I think TCNJ is going to have to bust their collective ass for a nationals bid, and I'm excited to see it play out.

tom williams is racing with a beard right now, get rid of it come championship time and he drops 3 minutes off his 8k. he will also lose all ability to get ladies once the beard is gone, but its decent trade off.
Anyone who loses the ability to get girls after SHAVING their beard is in serious trouble. That should be the opposite: Grow a beard, run like a man, don't get girls.

I love messing with the people on this thread. I have posted under a dozen names. Any prediction on this thread has about as much weight as an anorexic teen girl.
this thread is why no one takes d3 seriously.
the main argument is about who is more or less mediocre near the bottom of the top 10 in the atlantic region.
cortland, geneseo, nyu and slu are great teams with great runners, who have shown they can mix it up with d1 teams and hold their own.
yet, we're talking about teams who have guys in their top 7 who can't break 27:30....tempo pace for the teams that are actually good.
"yeah so out of fredonia, ithaca and hamilton...who is the most mediocre?" sounds like a blast to me...

the question that's really on everyone's mind: who will have the manliest beard come regionals? individually? top teams?
Do Stermer and KO run again for Cortland? Do they run other guys from last years top 7? Do they run a B team? Going to be interesting to see what happens. Personally, I'd like to see Dubois and Greenlaw to get their first race in. I assume that they wont run top guys, and that the only reason they did last year was because SLU was hosting regionals.
