What an idiot . . . and judging by my research, too slow to run is about right.

next time check that little box, son
eventually you'll learn that real men hide behind screen names!! until then you look like a fool!! sucker!!!
HAHAHA that was awesome. What kind of times does Matt run? Is he worthy enough to talk?
i saw on the website he ran 7th for them and ran 27:mid at the griak...haha
I'll be checking this for updates on the hour tommorow to see a reaction. LOL, remember Matt, if you come on here and apologize like a man, you'll get some props.
Wow, I got a lovely reaction there. Thanks for everyone taking shots at my (lack of) running ability. I'm just a guy looking for a way to help out my team. As you can see I'm not much of a runner, so I figued finding out about some other teams would help out. I think I'll have to learn a little more about the letsrun process before attempting to post again. Hopefully this counts as apologizing like a man.
Here's a question for you folks.
If it is cold and snowing at nationals, how much does it hurt teams from the south and/or teams with Kenyans?
I heard it's probably going to be cold and someone else said that there is even already snow there.
How much does this change the team race?
Now the snow will not affect the kenyans, because they are really tuff runners. Now Mediocre runners run in snow about once every 5 years, well that might affect they a little, depends how tough they are...
The point I am making is the snow will mix things up, to say exactly will be hard, but my guess is that mid pack runners who never run in snow will be at a disadvantage...and all those people running flat fast courses this year.

That was difficult to read.

Snow will not affect the Kenyans, because they are really tuff runners. Um.... What!!! Because they are "tuff" does not mean they will run good in snow.
Im from California and rarely run in the snow. The few opportunities I have had to run in it were some of my best runs ever. Being a tough runner has nothing to do with liking the cold or not. Being a tough runner has to do with your efforts in a race.
Please tell me you were being sarcastic!
you all do realize that the person who wrote that is probably kenyan
From what I've seen this season so far, all the tor RMAC schools will make nationals. Obviously because Adams, Mines and Western are all ranked in the top 10. But, as the North Centeral race goes, the last two qualifying teams are still a toss up. You make a good point about Highlands. Ngrikamaro and Kazingo had a great race at RMAC championships, but who knows if they can pull the weight for the whole team. Indivually, both have a decent shot at qualifying for nationals. As for Augustana, their pack time is incredible, but I'm unsure of the conference course, so who knows if the times are legit. Metro seems to have a lot of fire, but unfortunately it seems like it may be burning out fast. Their top four or five runners have really proved themselves in the past, but this year they are doing horrible. Although they have a conference champion and multiple all-americans in that top four or five, it may as well take a miracle for them to make it to nationals at this point.
There is no way that someone posts this would be a Kenyan.

Chico drinks the most, can the home team aka Pat reagen Rally the troops and out drink them though?!!?!
Man my last post did not make much sense. That's ok, I have been working on my grammar since then.
What I really wanted to point out is that runners who are tough will run well in snowy, muddy, and hilly conditions. I am not saying that all mediocre runners out there are not tough, and that all Kenyans are tough. I am saying a majority of Kenyans are known for being tough runners. I am also saying that the 4 and 5 guys on teams might be running more on talent then toughness. I am also saying that schools that run in snowy/hilly/muddy conditions more often have a better chance, because their 4 and 5 guys are used to running races and training on tough courses, making them tough.
Have I used the word tough enough?!?!?! I think so. So now that I have everything and nothing, go ahead and tear me apart. =)
I have also been looking at and doing some conversions with the races run during conference week. Based of the times running at each person's respect race I have come up with the top 8 teams. I didn't include queens because they didn't run and didn't include GVS because It was just becoming laborious.
ASC
ACU
Harding
WSC
Chico
Mines
AA
Umass
What I have to say about these times is that I looked at each races respective elevation and applied the 10k conversion to them. I know that is not right but i figured all courses had some hills and bad footing which in turn could make up for the 2k. I also had to use a subjective view point because when good teams go head to head against each other people race better. (Almost all of the number one teams in the conference really had no distinguishable competition, including RMAC).
Overall this is a pretty rough guess, plus i only factored in the top five runners from each team and did not include front runners from random school that will adjust the score.
Any comments, questions, or advice on how one should adjust for altitude, up hills, down hills, and footing(grass, dirt, sand, holes, or Galeen Rupp Certified courses)?
Pull your heads out and keep this thread from going to crap. People are trying to make others look bad and it is starting to annoy me. People can very easily add any email address to their posts to try and set people up (like with the Augustana runner). This isn't cool.
Others are saying if someone writes with improper grammar that they are probably Kenyan. Posting things like this make all of us look completely ignorant and intolerant, and it is embarrassing to be associated with people like this.
What is the purpose of all of this? Are you trying to make yourself feel better about your inadequacies? Are you trying to demean Kenyans because you are not willing to get out there and train hard enough to beat them? Be a Nate Peck, Pat Reagan, Paul Jellema or Scott Bauhs and start training your asses off and shut the hell up.
Until you do that and stop making excuses, you will never stand a chance. I'm busy workout out as hard as I can and I don't want to get lumped in to the make excuses group. Most of this thread has been great, but trying to set up people like what happened above is not acceptable. Hopefully this post can get the thread back on track. Let's start talking about PSACs this weekend and then regionals.

Only one team from the nonrmac conference will make it out of the central region.

Care to take a gander at my list again? How many teams are there?....
normally when you use X/Y in a list that means either/or.
Ex. the NCAA basketball tourney. Last years play in game
"UNC Vs. Mount Saint Mary's/Coppin State."
Shut the f*ck up GG kthnks bye
