Udpdate: Multiple Iowa State athletes suspended for season for "breaking team rules," Head coach Jeremy Sudbury confirms none from top 7

Coach Jeremy Sudbury is all over Instagram (check out @coach_sudbury) and he's an open book on Insta showing everything, walking with his young son, his wife, coaching his runners.

He's a total open book on Insta. Hasn't deleted anything. Dude is above board -I'm sure. His openness shows evidence he has nothing to hide, zero, nada, zilch. Give the man a break....he has nothing to do with any wrong doing. I feel for the man. His whole future rests on the outcome of this mess. It needn't be a mess, if people spoke. Support coach Jeremy Sudbury.

Praying that Iowa State's team can field a team. Even if one athlete (or more) contravened the rules, the other team members should not be penalized. Coach Sudz suffering too.

The sooner this gets sorted, the better for all concerned. All the innuendo is not productive. Too much conjecture and half truths. In all of this coach Sudbury, his team and his family are suffering. No need for that.

This mess needs to be fixed asap.

In the Nuttycombe Invite 2025 guess who had the fastest 2k last split out of all the races combined ?

In 1st place) habtom Samuel (5.32) Spicy

In 2nd Place overall ) Seth C (5.54.0)

3rd place) Dominic S (5.54.1)

Whats the difference between these 3? Well Habtom won the race and Dominic came 4th overall Seth finished 19th with the 2nd fastest last 2k split of the day.

Worth mentioning as well that Eliud Kipsang was in Ames for multiple months earlier this year (see his Strava) before his untimely passing in June

He might need to start writing a book for when he's out of a job. Just make sure you have nothing to do with the book we don't want any fairy tales in it.

Jeremy Sudbury should, at this point, absolutely not be applauded or praised for how he has handled this situation. This is an opportunity to stand up for clean sport. This nonsense about team rule violations is the opposite of taking a stand. It’s only about not making things worse and mitigating what is likely, a massive disaster. Most NCAA coaches are only about preservation and care nothing about integrity and fair competition. Look at Adrian Myers and Will Palmer. Two guys who ran dopers in competition and have never once even addressed it. Never once said there isn’t a place for this in our sport. Just be quiet and move on to the next. Sudbury doing the exact same thing here.

While it seems like the complete details of who is involved in this situation need to be flushed out, this whole thing, beyond anything else, is just sad. Obviously doping is a (unfortunate) part of this sport, but seeing that Iowa State will plausibly be able to get away with this and not have to address the rest of the NCAA is disappointing. I'm not out here calling for Sudbury to be fired, but a situation like this going unaddressed would demonstrate a lack of integrity. Seeing tangible names/faces being put to the term "doping" makes this all feel more concrete, rather than accusations being abstract and taboo. Additionally, this clearly brings to light the glaring hole that the NCAA needs to fill when to comes to drug testing. Currently it is a free-for-all. An example can be made out of this situation, regardless of whether it's a team wide doping circle or only 4-5 of the lower end guys on the team. Also, the comment about Kenyan/African runners in the NCAA not being able to afford the means to dope is just silly, whether you think they are doping or not. All in all, the worst thing that can happen here is that this situation gets swept under the rug. Somehow I anticipate that in about a week this will be the case, sadly.

I think at this stage and the way things are going theres no way in hell this gets swept under the rug not with the number 1 team in the nation involved.The word is out about this and people demand the truth.
