You obviously missed what the Democrats have been doing the past four years. The open border was by design. The bailing out of blue state governments who enacted punitive shut down policies. Attempts to buy the youth vote with the carrot of student loan forgiveness. The use of the justice department to target their political rivals. Have you been asleep the past four years?

the real danger is that society can no longer agree that facts exist. Everyone has their own facts. We have fake news, fake vaccines, fake elections, fake criminal charges, fake science, fake vote counts, fake insurrections, fake immigrant crime waves. Trump is not the cause, he is just the symptom and uses the gross stupidity for his own gain.
A good portion of America has no sources of facts beyond their social media silos and youtube algos.
We should mandate science classes with passing grades. The insanity of an RFK Jr would never take hold.
And also every citizen must work in a government office for a period of time. They would see that government (although not perfect) is made up of good people trying to do their jobs honestly and not the diabolical mysterious "deep state" that the right wing has used to make people distrust all government facts and purposes.
