Amen to that. Now let’s put our hands together to usher in a beautiful era of Wi-Fi free schools and nurseries from one RFK as he literally left Joe Rogan and his assistant shell shocked in this video about Wi-Fi health effects!
he was like ‘how come we didn’t know this’, and ‘what the f***’ and ‘I think we should stop using Wi-Fi man’😆😆
I love seeing the smile wiped off Joe Rogans face. It’s quite satisfying to say the least for me because it showed that the knowledge and conviction finally hit him like a train.
I had no idea RFK was a WiFi nutter. He really is dumb
You have no idea about many things including that man-made classical vaccines are infinitely inferior to natural quantum mechanical biological advanced homeopathy!!
Physics is the king of sciences and rules over the laws of biology and chemistry which are laws of Physics! Medicine is not a science, it’s a pseudo science and make believe. The word medicine used to mean Jesus divine healing but became Satanic once rockerfella took over!
in strict principle you only need to know physics to know everything including knowing biology and chemistry. And so that means I know chemistry and biology by default.
So you didn't dispute that you are not even original at LRC discussing Elektramagnetico(sic) fields, but rather only parodied Khamis.
If we go further back in mythology, many centuries before Jesus, the word medicine was linked to the Greek mythological figure Medea.
The question remains open whether you know as much about the laws of physics as you say you do, especially in these alleged physical realms of biology and chemistry, and the allegedly not physical realm of the applied science of medicine. It is not enough to understand some of the basic building blocks to understand the nature of something much more complex built out of many of these blocks. The primary school student who understands addition and subtraction of integers is not yet prepared for multi-variate calculus and advanced diffy queues.
You are doing yourself no favors by claiming complete knowledge, yet backing up conspiracies not based on knowledge.
The CDC has failed an entire generation of children. Over 5 million school age children are obese. 160,000 are already diabetic, but diabetes can take years to develop. Over 9 million are pre-diabetic, which means many of those 9 million children will be diabetic in a few years. Over 5 million are asthmatic. Approximately 77% of young men ages 17-24 are ineligible for military service due to health conditions!
These are staggering numbers.
In almost every interview about his nomination to head HHS, RFK Jr. has brought up the plight of our children and their future if these trends aren't changed. He has pledged to take steps to make our children healthy again. That should be something every American can support.
I don't disagree with you that obesity and related health concerns are a major issue. I doubt that anyone does disagree on this. What I'm less clear on is how this is the fault of the CDC specifically or what RFK Jr might do about it.
On one hand he could certainly advocate for better dietary and exercise habits, but Michelle Obama took up that cause and didn't make an enormous impact, so it's hard to see where RFK Jr does better by non-coercive techniques.
On the other hand the government could leverage it's influence on public education to incentivize physical education and nutrition programs. That's not out of line for RFK Jr's platform when he was a candidate, but it would be a 180 for a Republican administration of any stripe and runs counter to what Trump has signaled for DoE and what Linda McMahon seems inclined to push.
The obesity problem is not an "information deficit" issue. People know that they should eat better and exercise more and that not doing so has negative health consequences, they simply don't follow through on this information.

People's behavior is influenced by cost. Educating people on the need to eat better isn't going to change behavior, so I don't think the answer is going to be in either the CDC or the Dept of education. You'd have a better chance thru the farm bill; i.e., heavy taxes on sugar and ultraprocessed foods, using the revenue to subsidize the production of healthy / whole foods to lower their cost.
Good luck getting a republican gov't (or democratic for that matter) to do that. With the size of our farm bill and agribusiness, there's no way that gets through congress.
The first thing Melania did as first lady was rip out the vegetable garden Obama planted, and the first act as HHS nominee that RFK did was to pose for a photo while being force fed McDonald's.

NYC tried to ban jumbo soda sales a decade or so ago and California floated a bill to do something similar more recently, both caved under public pressure in the name of "personal liberty" to make questionable life choices. That's kind of my point, people, especially Trump people, don't like coercion and personal health is a challenge in an increasingly instant gratification society.
Party flips on issues have been major inflections on the course of history, but it's hard to see how Trump in particular cares enough about this issue to spend political capital on it.
RFK Jr was invited into Trump world to reinforce the "mad that Covid inconvenienced us" crowd, not to expand the nanny state.
RFK will NOT get anything changed. I didn't read all 25 pages of this thread but capitalism will defeat healthy eating 100 out of 100 times in this country. Crap food is cheaper to make and tastes better than healthy food, so the US will consume more of this. It has been pointed out many times that we KNOW we have a bad obesity problem, but that is because of our culture of consumerism and not because of the CDC, RFK, or anybody else. Nobody disagrees with this, but quit putting RFK on the mount rushmore of health geniuses. Real change will NEVER happen because of mostly republican priorities (making more money).
Heck, Michelle Obama did something like this for school lunches in 2010. Richard Simmons has been saying this for 30+ years.
Keep in mind this is a 70 yr old! I'm 63 & a former national champion natty bodybuilder back in the 1980s. I still hit weights several times a week & I don't look anything as good as Bobby, Jr. FFS, if I had that physique, the senior ladies would be hitting on me like crazy 😏 Granted, I'm not on TRT, but I don't have anything close to that kind if muscularity & aesthetics
Most of you guys on here criticizing Bobby, Jr are Gen Z & Millennials. You have no idea how hard it is to gain lean muscle mass & strength when you get into your 60s plus. Wait to you guys become my age & Bobby Jr's age, then you'll knock of the BS of mocking old guys. 😉

Oh boy a roided up lobster with clogged arteries, high blood pressure, and shriveled gonads.
What evidence do you have that's he's taking anabolic steroids? Same with "clogged arteries" & "high blood pressure?"
It's true that after about year of continuous TRT, the signaling for the normal production of testosterone stops & the testicles atrophy. But upon stopping TRT, that usually reverses especially with the use of Clomid.
How old are you & what do you look like? Are you a senior? Are you built better than Bobby Jr or you're a skinny, little diminutive guy?
What I don't understand is why you're mocking a 70 yr old using TRT who's developed a phenomenal physique & is in great shape. What about the seniors out there that are overweight/obese, sickly & unhealthy with a plethora of preventative diseases & ailments with one foot in the grave - do you mock & bully them?

The dude looks like he’s about 1 day away from a massive coronary. The red, bloated face. Weird water retention. Bulging eyes. There’s no doubt the dude has tiny gonads. I suppose he could take some estrogen modulators to avoid that but, what are we even doing here?
Just not healthy. Weird. Misshapen.
I don’t judge him for looking the way he wants, but he’s setting a bad example and shouldn’t be a public face of health.

You can't back up your statements with facts. Here are the facts.
I asked ChatGPT 4.o to create a profile for the typical 70-year-old male in the US. I asked the question three ways, including a question on testicular shrinkage. I've combined the answers into bullet points for brevity.
- An average bmi of around 28.5 which is considered overweight. Roughly 73% of adults are overweight. About 38.9% of adults aged 60+ are obese.
- the majority do not meet recommended 150 minutes of weekly physical activity
- takes 4-6 prescription drugs daily
- Most likely conditions include high blood pressure (~50%), high cholesterol (~45%), diabetes (25%), and heart disease (20%).
- Testicular shrinkage is common with about 20-30% reduction in size.
In short, RFK Jr is a role model of what healthy aging could look like at 70, especially when compared to the dismal state of health of the typical 70-year-old.

Turning yourself into a water balloon (and shrinking your nuts off) with roids because you’re desperate to look 35 when you’re 70 is just sad. It’s not health. It’s just sad
We must be looking at different photos because I don't see the water retention you're talking about. With my background in bodybuilding, I'm seeing excellent lean muscle mass with impressive aesthetics. He's got a V-tapor, good biceps & triceps, great delts, excellent pecs & a very rare six-pack for someone that age. Overall, he looks outstanding for 70! Again...I remind you 70 yrs of age!
Did you watch the video on his training & diet? His cardio training is a hard, intense hike up a steep hill every day. On his weight training, he also cuts the rest period between sets to a very short amount of time.
C'mon man, quit picking on Bobby, Jr & embrace his phenomenal fitness level. 😏

RFK jr confirmed he was taking testosterone awhile back. TRT isn’t a big deal if your levels are really low and/or impact your health, but to add bulk like that he must’ve moved beyond the realm of ‘replacement’.
Heres my annoying question… I agree with everything you say about the disaster that is our ‘standard diet’ and sedentary lifestyle. What are the odds RFK, if confirmed, changes any of that? Poor diet, no physical activity and obesity are all attributes of the boss himself (Trump). I’m not too optimistic. I think RFK is a smoke screen to make Trump look better, and to appease a part of his base while simultaneously annoying the democrats. Nothing more, nothing less. (I’ll also go on record and say the senate won’t confirm him..)

Two things
1) ask him out on a date, already
2) A 70 year old desperately trying to look 35 is not “healthy”. Bodybuilders have their own kind of body dysmorphia. Nobody normal looks at RFK and thinks “healthy.” Dude looks like a lobster.
U.S. ??? Citizens in the most obese, unhealthy country on the face of the planet have expressed concern that new Health Secretary RFK might try to do a few things differently.
Satire based in stupidity isn’t very funny. Problems:
- No intelligent person thinks that most of our health problems (and perhaps especially obesity and lack of fitness) are the fault of doctors or scientists (in or out of HSS)
- No intelligent person thinks that RFK is going to get lazy Americans exercising more and eating less.
- Every intelligent person knows that frauds/incompetents CAN make any bad situation much, much worse.

There is no neutrality in the world. You can either be part of the solution or you're going to be part of the problem. - Eldridge Cleaver
By abdicating their role in keeping Americans healthy, the NIH, CDC, and FDA have become part of the obesity problem.
Here is a perfect example.
Less than 3 months into the pandemic in March 2020, data out of China showed that obesity was a contributing factor in severe covid. In April 2020, a Lancet study linked obesity to severe COVID. By May 2020, the WHO identified obesity as a significant risk factor in COVID.
Fauci had a bully pulpit throughout the covid years. For the first two years, you could not turn on a TV news channel without hearing him bullying everyone to mask up and (once it was available) get vaccinated, but how often did you hear him say... "And for goodness sakes if you're overweight or obese, lose weight because it's a major factor in severe covid."
How often did you hear Fauci say, "lose weight and exercise?" Or Birx. Or the surgeon general?
Don't give me that cr&p about no one would change. Many people were scared out of their minds during covid. They were wearing masks in cars, for goodness sakes! In parks with no one around. Some people would have changed. If only 1 in 100 overweight persons lost weight, that would have been 1.7 million healthier people~!~! If 1 in 10 had lost weight, that's 17 million people.
COVID is effectively over... well, it'll never be completely over... but I'm still outraged at the failure of our health leadership to do anything except kowtow to their Big Pharma overlords.
What could government and RFK Jr et al do?
I think corporations should be incentivized to reduce obesity in employees. Employees should be incentivized to lose weight if they're obese. The airways should be flooded with ads by organizations promoting healthy weight and exercise.
Organizations are currently given a CEI rating to determine their support of workplace equality and diversity. A similar metric could be created to measure corporate support wellness and healthy weight. That metric could be made available on a CDC website, for example.
In fact I think that's such a good idea that I'm going to flesh it out a bit and submit it to the MAHA think-tank. Thanks for giving me the idea! If you see it next year, remember that you saw it on LetsRun first!
