Stewy 6th in 3.53, Jackson Sharp right behind him.
Do we think Stewy makes the Tokyo world champs team? Can't see it in the 1500m.
In the 5000m Ky and Jack have the standard. Seth O'D is in Europe to have a crack, freshly sponsored by Nike. Morgan McDonald will probably try in the next few weeks coming off injury.

I love that Seth OD has got a Nike sponsorship- well done to him, he’s a great talent. I wonder what the MTC crew think about it.
Good showing for the irish in this race, nice to see Brian Fay show a bit of form even if it was with his trademark tactic of being way off the pace at the bell then producing an insane last 400m
I called this after this awful GC half showing. Can't even blame the MTC training for this one, he was coached by Brett. Cannot believe this bloke makes a living from running somehow.

Virtually guarantee Brett's program is the same as Nic's
Yep. Same with all their "Pulse Coaching" programs. Not sure why people pay money to be coached by these guys.
Just do 6-8x1km on Tuesday, a threshold on Thurs or Fri and a long run with some jogging on the other days. There it is. That's every single training program they've ever put out. Saved you some $$$$

The irony is they are currently marketing "programs designed specifically for you" for the Melbourne Marathon on Instagram.
And within the post they highlight that in fact, the programs aren't actually personalized, but rather they will just group athletes into templates "based on your ability".
Don't worry though - they all contain a group session on Tuesday night which (wait for it) will likely be 8 x 1km.
Looks like Seth is just in the quota for the 5000. Ky and Jack in too. Jude outside.
In the 1500 Cam is a lock. Ollie has the next best time and came 3rd in Nationals. Spencer has 4th best time (just behind Jude) but was 2nd in Nationals.
So is Jude missing Tokyo? Needs to get points in a hurry in the 5000m or use the 'discretionary' argument for the 1500?
He's entered in the Lausanne 5000m....Seth isn't :(
Key question will be whether Jude is there to pace or not. But as commented in another thread - for Seth that's the downside to not having Nic (or "Collis" on paper) as your agent.
Anyone got any predictions for first Aussies in Sydney?
I reckon Liam Adams gets the W over Brett Robinson and Leanne Pompeani wins the womens
Underdog wins in both- Sam C and Leanne P. Mileage monsters.
What's been more awkward on the socials this week- Jess and Lisa doing the press together but not standing/sitting together? Kipchoge meeting the swans? Or JTW up there being a professional lanyard wearer?
