In my case, I overrated that 13:05 when he fell earlier in the year as well as his close at USAs, which Farah-esque. Seems he still has a long way to go. If he can retain that closing speed and add some endurance then he can be a contender, but I guess you could say the same about Kincaid as well.

Gonna say it again. Putting your hand over your heart or singing the song doesn't make a person a patriot. Showing up for your country does. That is how Bol operates and you can see how much her Dutch teammates LOVE her for that, both men and women.

Mu is obviously uncomfortable running remotely close to the rail. She ran maybe 6" from the lane 2 line most of the race and then moved into lane 2 on the finish, which allowed Hodgkinson to pass her.
I wonder if it would help if Kersee put cones all the way around the track about 6" inside the white line of lane 1 and then have Mu do her intervals inside those cones?
Doesn't matter. Even if Bobby Kersee did that, Athing Mu would still run wide around the turns during her races. She said in an interview a while back that's just how she runs.

Bol has one of the smoothest running styles of any I've seen. She makes it look effortless. Her strength at the finish, as she showed in the hurdles and last relay, is also extraordinary. The mixed relay performance was out of character for her.
I said Moraa was favourite. How she can surge so often is a mystery to me, she's freakishly good. Feel a bit sorry for Keely, she's becoming another Girma
It isn't so much a mystery if you're on what Moraa probably is.

Aside from Mu what other mid distance athlete has he coached. I'm not counting JJK who did a labored 800 in a conditioning run style similar to a boxer.

I did though think about how much it sucked for the 3 other athletes in that Dutch mixed 4x4 team that were cost $20k by her falling over her own feet just meters before the line. Not sure they are on the same runway as Femke in terms of $$$ they make from the sport.

I don't know about what the men will think, but Bol's heroic 4x4 anchor helped Klaver get gold to soothe the wound (of course Lieke did her part with the fastest split).
It appeared that Keely's toughest competition was her countrywoman Reekie who forced her wide throughout. If Reekie wasn't in the way then a gold was very possible. That's the breaks of racing.
