If both teams get that far, those Iowa - LSU matchup ratings are going to be off the scale. But Colorado and UCLA may have something to say about that first.
And 3.2 million for their first round game! Against Holy Cross!! Mind boggling really. If someone had said 3 years ago that a first round women's Tournament game featuring Holy Cross would get 3.2 million viewers I would have thought them entirely insane. But here we are... I hope the Holy Cross alumni donations and merch purchases spiked after that.
So for all the misogynists who insist "lets see her play against men!", the offer is now officially out there. Dont know if she'll take it though. It conflicts with the WNBA season and according to WNBA rules you cant play outside of the league during the season. If nothing its a shot across the bow to the WNBA to compensate her more fittingly than they currently do with rookies.

Holy Cross has an excellent coach who will probably end up at a major power one day.

It’s rather common to hear women’s basketball players grew up without watching the game they aspired to play at the highest level. But that's changing, and the extra exposure should have a huge impact on the next generation.
After the Boston Celtics beat the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night, the focus of the NBA’s best team quickly turned to something else: watching Caitlin Clark and the final minutes of Iowa's victory over LSU in the Elite Eigh...
Poor Hailey Van Lith. I definitely thought she would have more of an impact with LSU, sliding right in where Alexis Morris had been and helping to run the show. But shes not a true point guard and she doesnt seem to fit as well with the rest of the team than I thought she would which resulted in a big hit on her numbers. She looked especially like a fish out of water last night. Mulkey forcing her to guard Clark one on one for most of that game was borderline cruel.

I agree, I thought that she and Morrow would play as well as Iowa's supporting cast, and I picked LSU to beat Iowa, but they were horrible. No chance of winning my pool so I can now root for UConn.

She picked LSU for the opportunity to play PG and get a ring. Well, she didn't get a ring and now she knows why Waltz was not willing to use her as PG.
My guess is no! The stands are all empty. It’s comical. Yet espn wants to promote womens basketball to no end. Kinda sad. Women play inferior basketball to men and the games are boring

Well, this didn’t age well. Idiot
No it didn't.
"Iowa-LSU outdrew all but one of the five games in last year's NBA Finals, along with the clinching game of last year's World Series"
Iowa's captivating Elite Eight NCAA tournament win Monday night over LSU also made its mark as the most watched women's college basketball game in U.S. television history.
