One could argue that third behind two unranked teams isn’t “doing what they needed to do” to maintain their ranking. How would that fly in college basketball?
Right. In that case, they didn't have two of their varsity runners. Not due to injuries, as far as I know. If they were injured, yeah, they should drop.
In college basketball if you are missing two starters and lose to unranked teams does it matter?

He doesn’t really know what he’s doing, but Sadie is fast because she’s so talented and everyone can’t stand the private coach. The new Ventura HS coach is now getting annoyed at Sadie’s coach because he’s very obsessed and not liked among all the parents or athletes. Sadie’s private coach (Matt Hammel) tried to get the HS job at Ventura, but the school didn’t hire him because of all the complaints they got from other parents and kids.

Anyone with some insight on this meet? How did the College Women go 5K but the High Schools went 3M? They have screwed up the courses there so many times so I am curious.
Course was reading between 3.01 and 3.04 on all watches. Sample size of over 40 people. We didn’t see anything - not even a random outlier - watch time under 3. Was legitimate 3 mile course over 200 elevation gain.

I was under the impression that Sadie had a different coach. The biggest issue is Matt Hammel not getting the HS job. He’s not liked in the Ventura running community at all. The HS hired former Wisconsin star Josh Spiker and he has his hands full with Sadie and her coach. It’s a recipe for disaster. The team culture is getting effected by it.
The highschool 3 mile was definitely three looked at the strava of some of the guys. Not bad time’s considering elevation gain. Davis and Jesuit are both solid squads that havent ran on fast courses. Wonder if they are going to Clovis will be interesting to see how they stack up.

I see Clovis and Jesuit on the teams list. Jesuit actually has only 1 senior scoring.
