U guys justify the far greater war crimes of America.
Can you say hypocrisy?
Who's "U guys"? Where have I justified "the far greater war crimes of America"? Please, provide proof.
Again, are you saying that because America has committed war crimes in the past, it's okay for Russia to commit war crimes in Ukraine? If that's not what you're saying, then do you think Russian war crimes in Ukraine are okay for some other reason? Or, do you think the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and Russia's continued perpetration of war crimes, is wrong?
So you have condemned the US wars in all those listed nations and call the US war criminals and start a thread on it?
Default is bad for the other nations that hold Russian debt.
It only hurts Russia's future ability to borrow -- something that is not a problem as they now have a new set up in place with India, Brazil, China, Iran, and other nations.
US is messing this up real bad, Led by fanatics and not professionals
The US is messing what up? You're watching the humiliation of Russia, a former global superpower in real-time. It's really quite amazing to watch.
Are you advocating for greater US involvement? A no-fly zone? Troops on the ground?
Or, are you saying the US should just let Russia invade (and murder and rape) whomever they please, because your portfolio is worth more than Ukrainian sovereignty? What an utterable contemptible moral position. Choosing money over human life. Greed is one of the seven deadly sins, carmine. "Greed is a sin against God, just as all mortal sins, in as much as man condemns things eternal for the sake of temporal things." -- Thomas Aquinas
(Kitco News) - Members of the Group of Seven, representing the top economies in the world, are adding gold to their sanctions against Russia because of its ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

No?
Why not?
Hypocrisy.
Do you follow now?
As debate team captain Ernest would say, you're making the logical fallacy of "appealing to hypocrisy." Try again.
p.s. I didn't start a thread on Russia's invasion of Ukraine either, that doesn't make Russia any less of a terrorist state.
PRICE Futures Group senior market analyst Phil Flynn weighs in on world leaders moving closer to finalizing plans for a price cap on Russian oil as the count...
Sanctions against Russia have been “ineffective” so far?
Ok, let’s pretend Russia didn’t just default on their foreign debt then, excluding Russia from foreign investment for at least the next decade.
If Russia wants to pretend the sanctions aren’t working, we need to add more sanctions then. Just what the G7 are currently planning.
Despite splashy and celebratory headlines, equating a manufactured debt-servicing default to an actual default is a complex legal process taking years. Links below offer explanation.
A default will probably be announced, eventually, but will be "asterisked".
Impact on Russian borrowing is dampened as they ceased sovereign debt financing several years ago.
Russia has defaulted on foreign debt for the first time since the Bolshevik Revolution more than a century ago, further alienating the country from the global financial system amid its war in Ukraine.

So is the US a terrorist state?
No (note, I'm not saying the US military's track record is perfect, good, or acceptable - you're more than welcome to start a thread about it). But, even if the US was a terrorist state (it's not), would that make it okay for Russia to intentionally target Ukrainian civilians with missiles? Note, reports are that at least 2 missiles struck the shopping center in Kremenchuk today - so, this was not a single, errant missile, but a targeted attack against civilians designed to instill fear, panic, and terror. Ergo, Russia is acting as a terrorist state.
Failing to pay the foreign deft is another mail in Russia’s coffin of isolation. Once Russia wants to rejoin the international community after the war is over , and Putin is long in the ground, this debt will slow Russia’s ability to rebuild using foreign investments, unless Russia plans to only trade with China, India and Iran forever. It’s a bit blow to Russia. Hence, Russia trying to bluff their way out of the impact.
Ukraine struck a Russian command post in Izyum with US-made HIMARS launchers killing 40 soldiers, Kyiv claimed, at the same time Russia admitted a colonel was killed by the weapon.
Courtesy of the American taxpayer. Sorry, I can't resist saying that. Just can't. It's true, right? American taxpayers sent that rocket right up Russia's a . . . .
Gold embargo's have never worked. You don't believe me just ask the Germans and Swiss about Jewish gold during WWII. The Swiss were the biggest "Nothing Burger" ever when it came to doing the right thing. They accepted and hid German pilfered gold and other treasures without question as long as Germany paid the Swiss a % of the ill gotten gains.
That was then and this is now. I mean no offense to the modern day Swiss, unless the shoe fits then you must wear it.
Russia is claiming the sanctions aren’t working and their economy is fine. Ok, we need to impose more and tougher sanctions.
Actually, the sanctions are working, but obviously Russia will never admit it. Russia will act like everything is fine even if their entire economy collapsed and people are in the street selling their last possession for their next meal.
Let’s see how the sanctions are war of attrition they are fighting are working 12 months from now.
^Seeing the brainwashed oopmaloompas be imprisoned by state propaganda is incredible. And in real time. Amazing how you can create such a stoopid populace by strategic disinformation.

Astonishing how ignorant the woke are. Russia is by far in much less indebtedness danger than the US. They actually have reserves. Lol. Russia can not only trade with China, India, and Iran, with which they could easily survive on, but they're also trading with Brazil, Turkey Argentina, and a 100 other countries. Including most of Africa. Even Mexico....direct US neighbor! Lol.

Mushie? Is that you, Mushie? We missed you, Oompa.
Russia's balance of payments and the Rouble have held up only because the drop in the value of Russia's exports (oil and gas) has been more than offset by the drop in imports. The accounts may be roughly in balance but at a much lower level than before. The damage done to bilateral trade with the EU will be long term and over time much more painful for Russian than the, very much larger, EU economy.
